MQ problem with latest src.

Post by Psylenced » Thu Oct 30, 2003 11:47 pm

Greetings,

I just compiled the latest source of MacroQuest at a friends place and encountered a problem. Compiling seemed to finish properly, hoever when I log into the world, a window pops up saying MacroQuest is now Active, but none of the macro or aliased (/hp etc) commands work. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? I havent used MQ since the binaries were publically available, so im not sure if im using it incorrectly, but i believe im using it properly, typing commands in the chat window etc.

As a side note connecting to the MQ telnet server i get this:

MacroQuest telnet server
Password: ********
Connected.
/hp
/face
/who

it just hangs there, no response ingame or in the telnet window, nothing. what am I doing wrong?

Did you compile with VS.NET converting the DSW file?

Do you see any messages at all? chat, environmental changes, etc? There is a known issue (and fix) for the telnet not being sent MQ responses.

One way to test this is to do a /who all friends. If you get responses, then the issue is the telnet server not being sent the data from MQ. Look for my bug post. Hopefully it will be fixed in CVS soon.
