I saw this on the net today and wondered if anyone here had disassembled it and made sure it was safe and/or if anyone knows if SOE considers it legal/illegal.
I've not even tried the trial version so I have NO idea what it does (it may not even read EQ memory for all I know).
I was just hoping to get an official dev comment on this piece of software/opinions etc... you guys know me, this is not an advertisement ..lol In fact, I won't even run it myself because it's untested by people I know.

Well, I know many people here use MQ becuase they're either poor or cheap and don't like to pay for things. However, if something IS worth the money, I'll pay for it. ...lol

I installed it to see what it was about. I can safely say that it is NOT a violation of the EQ EULA because it is a log reader and does not modify the EQ session.
Is it worth the price of admission? I don't know. I use EverLog to track my stats and skills. I have no real need for a spawn timer though since MQ can alert me when the spawn I want is up.

That's why smart people run an intelligent firewall.
The only outbound connection (which was odd) that it made was to a SQL server as part of the patcher. The SQL database has an unencrypted host, userid and password inside the LootWindowPatcher.exe file if anyone is interested in seeing what it has in there.
