Bug: MQ Load with FilterMacro=2

MQ does not load and activate when FilterMacro=2. I had to manually change the MQ ini file to set it to 0 to get MQ to load and activate, even after a full reboot of the system.

Um, what do you think FilterMacro=2 does? How could you tell that MQ was not loaded?

Does the MQ icon show up in the SysTray until you cursor over it then it disappears? If so goto the the following link:

This is what I have found out so far about the MQ.Ini
FilterMacro=0 Allows echo to the EQ client in game
FilterMacro=1 ? Haven't figured this one out (I use FilterMacro=2)
FilterMacro=2 Prevents any echo to the EQ client in game
Try removing all trailing spaces in the MQ.Ini file then save it.

0 = /filter macros all
1 = /filter macros enhanced
2 = /filter macros none
All and none are self explanatory
Enhanced gives you output like superwho and /echos but hides stuff like can find blah blah macro or cleaned vars, extra fitlering options, etc.
Did you try to run a macro? or anything MQ related or did you just assumed that since no output MQ was bugged?

MQ shows up in system tray. I tried macros and MQ commands (specifically the alias command and the filter command to reset filters). Neither worked... When I left EQ, I viewed the MQ ini file and the filter was still set to 2 not 0 as I tried to set it to. Also, the new alias was not put in the ini file.
I did not do any more extensive testing other than resetting the filter in the ini file to 0 and reloading MQ and EQ. Then everything worked again.

Dude you're not reading... Do this change it back to two go in game target something and do a /face. See if that works.

When you are saying you tried a macro did you do it in EQ or a telnet session?
What Zeus is saying is Log into EQ and do some commands.
Example:
EQ: Taget something
Telnet: /face
EQ Result: This should turn you to the direction of whats targeted
Telnet: /sit on
EQ Result: Should sit down
Telnet: /stand
EQ Result: Should stand up
These are some of the basic commands you can use to test if MQ is working properly.
