hi, i was wondering if MQ can tell the total hp for a character (not only self) like showeq can?

Curious, are you meaning like an actual HP total, as in.. 7212hp .. or a percentage?
Percentage = yes. HP total = no. HP totals were once, back in like, kunark\original days sent to the clients in "invisible packets". ShowEQ probably kept a lot of that and used it to display a lot of NPC's HP's, then probably kept track of mob's HP by you killing them and calculating total DMG, ect. (I've been thinking about logging something like this)

But unless I missed something, HP totals for NPC's or players aren't sent to the client anymore, regardless if you're using ShowEQ or MQ.

For HP percentage, you can use ID being the spawn ID, you can get this for group by going $group(#), # being the group index #.. or by targetting a mob and going $target(id), there's a few others ways..

HP percentages are a little innaccurate at far away ranges obviously.. but up close they're as accurate as you see it on your client.

For a list of all commands and overall features of Macroquest, open your MQ directory and go to the /Release/ directory, then look for a file named Readme.html

yes i meant HP by numbers like 7425 and that still works in showeq..its just one thing you have to do to make it work..for some reason you have to /con the person and then it updates his HP, i know mob hp dont show but i can live without that..i just think its fun to compare HP to other players without having to ask them

Yah actually i can back this up. Least thats how it was before they made u get ur own security zone code things (by then it was just too much work to bother with lol so i stopped using it). But ya i recall that too, u just con them or right click them and it'll update their hp.
