/sendkey ctrl down

Hey all -

Am I the only one having problems with this? I am hearing from others that it is working.

Whenever I run a tradeskill macro, like sits for example, is seems as though this command doesn't work. As soon as I release mouse control with alt-shift-r, the game selects an item, but then comes up with the quantity slider as though ctrl was not being held down. I tried putting a delay in the macro at the beginning so I sould release the mouse early, but no luck there either.

If anyone has a similar problem, lmk. Similarly, if anyone thinks I'm just nuts, lmk that too.

Thanks.

Yeah, that one. I use shift, ctrl, you name it. You DO know you have to use EQW, right?

Instead of

Code: Select all

/sendkey down ctrl
/click left buy
try using

Code: Select all

/buyitem 1
or start using EQW

I'm still working on restoring /click so EQW isn't required. Stay tuned....

Thanks

cybernerd - erm. No. But in my defense I wasn't using it before.

Anyone know where to get 2.35a? I noticed the eqwindows site is down.

McKorr - Thanks, amigo. I saw your thread in the dev forum, but I wasn't sure if this was /click related or not.

HUGE thanks to you, Mule, Valerian, onetimehero, and the rest of the team. I mean, I like to do things for my friends too, but this is above and beyond...

OT - Anyone else notice how friggin buggy the bazaar is lately? Every time I camp or /baz from there the client crashes.

(btw - this isn't MQ related, it seems everyone has this problem.)

Tomservo -

I hope you didn't think I was trying to flame you. I honestly wasn't. Im not a flamer kind of guy. But when someone does ask what MQ is I'll prolly change my mind =P. But anyway I didn't mean for it to be a flame. I was just trying to be funny, and I guess I didn't have a sense of humor that day. My appologies. If you need a copy of EQW msg me personally with your email and i'll send you a copy lickety split.

I have repeated this dozens of times... the syntax is:

sendkey <direction> <key>

ie. /sendkey down ctrl

I use eqw, so I'm not sure about the whole EQW thing, but I'm pretty sure the syntax is as described above. I think the problem is in the documentation it says sendkey up down or something... perhaps the documentation should reflect a key that isn't also a direction, heh. mixed me up a bit at first too....

Peace.

cybernerd Nah, I didn't think you were flaming me. I was just trying to cover up my embarrassment by not thinking of that myself...it's not like it's never been brought up before. But I will definitely take you up on that offer of eqw...

And auth I know you are right, I just keep letting my dyslexia get the better of me.

I'll second that. Perhaps:

Code: Select all

/sendkey hold ctrl
...
/sendkey release ctrl

I like that syntax change as well. Was very confusing for me for a long time, and hold and release make a lot more sense, especially when you are trying to figure out movement:

/sendkey down down vs /sendkey hold down

Much less confusing.
