2 chars on same pc, both running MQ

Post by Shammy » Sun Aug 03, 2003 4:37 am

I'm using the Sipet macro, and wanted to use two chars on same pc (with latest eqw, been using 2 pc's sofar but need more chars online). But no matter how I do it I can't get a macro to start in the 2nd window.

Do I need two instances of mq running, or something else I'm missing?

you shouldn't need two instances of MQ to have MQ on both accounts, but stuff like /click and /mouseto won't work with both. you have to have the account up and mouse captured into EQ for dinput stuff like that to work. But you're saying you can't get the macro to start in the second window, I'm clueless there. What's the error your getting?

Had 2nd eq on a another harddrive, but when I ran both from same drive it all worked nicely.

So I'm happy now :)

If you have win xp try this make 2 usernames open EQw and run MQ on one username then switch users and run the other on the 2nd name. Im not sure if this would work but the downfall would be the time it takes to switch users. Might work on other versions of windows as well.
