cheese problems

Post by Goge » Sat Jun 15, 2002 2:46 pm

the macro runs fine up until i need to sell. It won't sell the cheese so i fill up. But it should sell the cheese, there is no reason why it shouldn't sell it. My problem is this (taken right out of eqlog.txt)

[Sat Jun 15 14:46:54 2002] You can no longer advance your skill from making this item.
[Sat Jun 15 14:46:54 2002] You have fashioned the items together to create something new!

from what i can tell i'm still holding something when i'm trying to sell but i shouldn't be because there is a click left auto command before i even open chat with the merchant . After the sell problem the buying is right and it starts making it with no problems.

None of my bags are ontop of each other and the only thing i have changed is the delays in the buy from 3 to 5 (cause sometimes it would only buy 3 stacks of milk)

Anyhelp is greathelp :)

Salutations,
I would try changing the

Code: Select all

/click left auto
to

Code: Select all

/for v39 0 to 10
 /click left auto
/next v39
Also, for the first 2 times the code cycles through, watch it (get a comic book or something while its going through the make cycle) seeing what happens to go wrong as it sounds like you just run it expecting it to work.

I was watching it :) and i was expecting cheese, not expecting it to work. I've been trying to fix it on my own for the last two days (before they were stupid problems and it was the old cheese.mac) but with the new cheese things were running great... till the no sell.

i'll try the thing you said and see if it works, the cycle isn't that long.

Thanks! ^_^ -Goge

Lag...

Post by Plazmic » Sat Jun 15, 2002 5:44 pm

The first /finditem "Mature Cheese" is firing before the merchant window opens, therefore the item gets put on the cursor instead of selected in the store.
Just increase the delay after /press u should fix this.

Post by Goge » Sat Jun 15, 2002 5:46 pm

it's still having the same problem. It's so wierd I don't know what to do but camp and take a nap 0.o

I'll tried putting the buying part first but same problem, then i tried having the bags/packs open during the /finitem part and that didn't work. I don't know what to do but sleep.

Thanks everyone. -Goge

I reread you log...
It's not lag when opening... it's lag when selling ;(
try increasing the /delay after clicking sell

Salutations,
Delay for 2 seconds seems to work fine on most macros after opening the merchant window

i knew putting in the /log bit would help somehow ^_^
it works now with a delay of 10, i could go lower but sometimes it randomly does the problem again. I quess i have this problem 'cause i'm on a router and normly have 1 to 3 other people using the internet at the same time.

I was just wondering if there was anyway i can make the delay as long as it needed to be only for that specific time? 0.o
Like the /if statement at the :makecheese part? Its fine now and i make 50pp/hr av. but it is still taking 20 seconds to sell (as if it takes me less^_~)

Thanks for an amazing prog and L124RD gets a well done on the page :)

P.S. i can wait till tuesday for a reply :)

I need to spend more time with merchants in general, once I figure out if there is something selected in their window I can poll on that. Also, I want to figure out what the merchant is selling so instead of:

Code: Select all

/click left merchant 3
It will be:

Code: Select all

/click left merchant "Water Flask"

Salutations,
I've posted a (seemingly working) version of cheese.mac in the macros section: http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=154
