I was bored tonight, so I created a little routine in exts2.cpp that allowed for the inception of MQ's own spell list database.
It can be found at
http://www.geocities.com/AmadeusMQ
(it's the only file there you can download)
It's in various Excel formats (the html version was just WAY too large) and an .xml file.
Enjoy :)

Nice info.
I was casting spells and removing them to see the messages. :)
The spell id is nice as well, I won't have to echo it :)

is there an MQ-generated list of items like this or is there another one somewhere besided Lucy (locked up)
I am looking for a csv database (doesn't even have to be ultra current)
all I want is something I can use with VB to build a search/valuate functionality with the SQL plugin
anybody?

Check out the EQDKP project. One of their plugins deals with all the EQ items.

hehe ... we get mad when people don't search ... well someone searched (or trolled) back a year to find something similar to what they wanted.
In answer to the question, unlike spells, MQ only knows what the item's details are when the EQ server sends it over after EQ asks for it specifically. That is why there are programs that packet sniff specifically for items (Lucy's item collector being one of them)

I'll share an up to date (with Lucy) CSV item dump in trade for a macro that does a couple comparisons of bazaar prices to some other values stored in a MS SQL database and then buy the item if certain conditions exist... Send me a PM.
