Noone else is crashing?

MQ still crashes EQ for me when I do:

/who <player>
or
/who <class>

and that player or class is not in zone.

I don't crash with:
/who npc <level or name> (even though search comes up empty)
/who <player> all (even though that player is not online)

So the bug seems to be on players in the same zone only (when the search comes up empty). Problem started on the patch in april where spawninfo structure was changed. I got latest CVS release and compiled it on 05/05 and the bug remains.

Works fine here. BUT after i have zonet 2-3 times. I have the same problem.

And the characters goes LD after 20 mins. A long time when you wait for it.

I just load MQ before i zone, do my /who enc :)
And kill MQ again.......

I have read a lot of post on the board about and tried all the sugestions. Nothing have helped

of course, it doesn't help that SOE can't get their sh*t together and fix the 1018 problem, every time you crash or /q or close EQ without camping in any way, you're automatic 1018... which can take from 10 mins to 45 mins to get back in.

sorry, had to blow off a little steam at SOE, and I know this is a bit off-topic. heh

As mentioned on the eqlive web site, they're working on a fix for the longstanding 1018 bug.

W00000T It works now when I got newest CVS and compiled after May 15th patch. I can do /who on players without crashing.

Great work guys, thanks. Who found the bug? :)

I did a '/who enchanter' in Nex and then again in POK no crash. Zoned back in Nex and did '/who enchanter' and crashed to desktop.

It looks like it cant handel the /who more times in a row.

I experience this from time to time, rather rare, I keep my /who's to a minimuim while I'm in battle, or I use CTRL-W which is a regular WHO, never had any issues with NPC only the PC and quite often with the "/ enc" in the nexus =) Perhaps that's all that it is (j/k)

Yeah crashed now doing a /who without anything after :( So its not fixed yet, but its better because it doesnt crash everytime I do /who on pcs not in the zone, like it did.

it's been fixed...no crashes for me in days on /who

1. Get new source from CVS ...clean source
2. check under the General Development section of this messageboard and look for a topic with SPAWNINFO in the topic and be sure that your SPAWNINFO in MQ.h is up-to-date.

I still crash with /who every now and then. It doesn't happen often enough though that I care about it though...

the random /who crash will go away if you update your SPAWNINFO with the one on the messageboard (it has not yet been added to CVS).

Ironically, as quickly as things are fixed with the project as late, you will stay most stable if you follow every development thread and make changes in your files when it seems appropriate to do so.

Weren't you going to send me the diffs when you had them completed?

I went back, found the post, and updated CVS.

Everything should be in CVS now.
