Did the VIP forums get deleted?

Should probably update the post / donate page with information about how VIP membership works. I didn't notice anywhere where it talked about amount to donate or duration of access.

I thought a donation was access to vip forums for life? I donated a long long time ago to get access and now its gone...

It's 1 year from now on, it isn't sustainable to give life access anymore with only about 80 active vipers per year. I think it was "life" when we actually had 10k active users but if it once said "life" (a search for lifetime, does not return any meaningful results) on the donations page at some point it has not said that for the last 10 years at least. We just didn't enforce it until now, and we are changing it because "life" isn't reasonable anymore.

If anyone feels they have been shafted and not gotten enough VIP access for the 10 bucks they donated I will happily refund if it was sent to me. Just pm me. I don't want to screw anyone over with this change.

We are making the change mainly to secure enough funds every year to keep updates of the site, forums, and most importantly to mq2 going forward.

I really cant say it will make much of a diff for me i play on phinnigal and dont use mq2 anymore. I used to just like to browse the forums from time to time.

although i suppose if you make mq2 work for phinnigal I would be back subscribing

No money in the world would make me do that, since it's about principle and I'm a principled mf...

I still have access from what I assume is because of recent donations, and I don't feel shafted. I just think it's important to list what you're paying for so there's no confusion on the donation page.

Yeah... I can add some text there I suppose but it's pretty clear it's for a full year when they actually click the subscribe button and are taken to the PayPal page. At which point it's easy to back out by pressing cancel.
