NMAKE Command not working...

i get up to the part where I type NMAKE, and it doesnt work, it says bad file name or command. i went to set up the environment and this is what it said " Setting Environment For Using Microsoft Visual C++ tools. " but says nothing after that. was wondering if anyone can give me a description on how to fix this... thanks

when i go into the SRC folder, it says that the type of file for "Makefile" is just plain old file. so next to type of file in properties it says "File". i am using windows ME. any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Try taking the contents of Vcvars32.bat and putting it in your autoexec.bat. Sometimes you will not have the enviorment space available in a shell. Or you can create a command prompt shortcut on your desktop and change its properties to increase the enviroment size. Run Vcvars32.bat then run nmake. You dont need to build the detours package to compile MQ. Read the forums here and you will learn that you need but one file.....
