Now that the thread is good and hijacked already...icon wrote: One of these days I should really get back into C/C++ coding. I have a fairly decent book on it, and I'm a fast learner, but I can't get past a certain point in learning.
lol, I'm still undecided whether or not to stick with C or with C++. I know both of them just as well up to the point I'm at, and I like some of C's logic better (like printf() compared to cout), but I've heard of some advantages to C++. Anyone got a recommendation? Should I maybe learn C first then learn C++?
I tried to learn Assembly once, but learning registers and such is a bit beyond my reach I think. Programs written purely in Assembly are usually much smaller and run much faster then something written in a more modern language, but I'm not quite sure if the headache is really worth it. Anyone here ever fiddled with Assembly?
Grr, sorry for hijacking your thread man, if it's a problem I can just edit this part out and make a new thread in the general forums or something. I just have a bad habit of typing whatever pops into my head.
