Pet Targeting question

I was wondering if there is a way to get a necro pet to target and attack an NPC without the Necro targeting it and using the /pet attack command. Like /pet attack ${NearestSpawn[2]} or /pet attack {Group.Member[1].target}.

I am asking because I use the necro to trigger an event with an NPC and if he switches targets and /pet attacks then switches back to the NPC to trigger the event again it messes the timing up and slows things down. Right now the pet just stands there and the macro is running fine, but if I could add the dps of the pet it would go maybe just a little faster, and faster is good.

Thanks for your help

/pet attack doesn't accept arguments so i don't see that as being possible.
