The update you promised us, twice?

Sad to see that you guys make promises you cant keep. You have a huge userbase and doing what your doing is outragiously irresponsible. I don't have a problem with the dev's having lives, but I do have a problem with people who make promises and don't keep them (multiple times).

You know what I really love?

I really love people who roll up onto the boards and with their first (first!) post start bitching about something free.

If it's so important to you, then download the source and help them out. Otherwise, shutcha trap and wait till you at least have a couple posts to your credit before you start ranting about irresponsibility and such.

Sure, we're all waiting patiently (and eagerly) for the update, but don't you know to never look a gift horse in the mouth?

PS...You can lead a n00b to knowledge, but you can't make heem think.

PPS. Sorry to flame, but...didn't he beg for it?

LOL you gimp. Yeah plaz has the new files and is just no sharing it with us! Yeah, that sounds like it.

Don't mess around with something you know very little about. There are good reasons why an update has not been made, even if the authors are just lazy and don't feel like updating or working on MacroQuest. Why? Cause they are the authors and you have no say in it.

To the people who donated. You donated to the author, you have no, or should have no demand for new software releases.

In closing, it's one thing to wait and keep on waiting for the development of MacroQuest gracefullly, it's another to be a public moron and announce your dis-satification with something your too ignorant to endevor yourself.

So do us all a favor and tape that mouth (or should I say hands?) of yours shut.

Hey cakeass,

MQ isnt a business, dipshit. Its Open Source.

This means that Plaz doesnt owe you shit. And in fact, if you want to use MQ, you owe him.

So shut the fuck up.

From the creators of bad analogies, volume 1...

Plazmic doesn't owe you anything, FriendlyHater.

Think about it this way: let's say you lived in a neighborhood during the winter. Everyone in the neighborhood has to shovel their own driveways when it snows, right? So one day, Plazmic gets a snow-blower and goes around clearing driveways of snow. What a nice guy! He does it every day, until one day, he stops. Who can say why? Not I. Do you have any fucking right to complain, though?

Shovel your own fucking driveway or stop complaining, asshole.
/em zips up and runs outside into three feet of snow

...n00b learn how deadlines work.

est. release date - current date * 3 = days til release

Its just how it works. Don't blame the programmer, you wouldn't understand. You can think your done and run into a small bug you just cannot find and it can put you back a while. There are people with working mq's...maybe you should save your time of bitching and learn how to code a workin newui.

I'm amazed that not one of you guys agreed with his single point in the post. Why promise (or atleast say that) your going to release something but not do it. Twice in a row?

Really it comes down to:

First fluke: Wasnt done in time. Happens.
Second Fluke: Last patch/offsets/big bug found or #1 was exagerated. Sometimes (With VI Usually) happens.
1 week later: ... Hello?

Plaz hasnt been on IRC in 2 weeks now, unless I missed him in the past 2 days. gawks seen was approacing 11 days last I asked =/

But sure. Flame him for being an ass about it. But he is right. Its really unprofessional (EQ like if you will) to do that. And its not like Plaz to be more than 5 minutes to a day late so much as 2 release dates and a week

Actually lifewolf, what it really comes down too, is I use a program I don't pay for (though, yes I have donated, it IS a donation not a payment). Not only do I use this program, I don't have any ability to assist in it's development. If I feel that Plaz isn't doing enough, well, I know where the door is, nothing says I NEED to use his program, now does it?

You, I, none of us, has a right to the dev's time. They aren't employee's, there is no such thing as them being unprofessional, because this isn't a business, and they aren't getting paid. As many others have said, if you don't like it, download the source and write it yourself.
