Hey all, long time reader but never posted.

Basically my backstory, I used MQ2 and got savvy with it last year for a while. Had to take a 6-7 month break from PEQ this year, built a new rig and went through the trials of getting it SoD client and MQ2 up and running.

I copied my .ini's for my characters over and mostly it plug'n'played well.

However I'm having a few issues I can't trace down to exactly why they are happening.

When I'm running my toons through a dungeon or wherever I may be. I use /bc follow as my /stick, I just prefer it to /stick commands.

All of my guys follow me but for some reason when I target a mob or another pc or npc my bard will charge right to it and attempt to stick on it and I can't figure it out. I've tweaked settings in moveutils and netbots and melee and everything I can think of.

Anyone know why he would do this? He performs a bit differently then my other toons since I use Modbot and twist on him he's always checking mobs and stuff but his base configs are the same as all my other guys.

Thought I'd reach out to the pro's, thanks in advance.

I'm going to ignore the fact that you're asking a question about emulator crap.

I'm also going to suggest that *perhaps* you should search for the word follow in the macro file itself and see what sort of surprises you come up with and maybe, just maybe, you'll know why.

But yeah, totally, fuck stick. Follow is the way to go. /nod.

(Heh, I said fuck stick... which was the whole purpose for this response.)

Lots of interesting things stand out by taking this route. I posted the initial question at work on my cell so couldn't troubleshoot but working on it now.

What macro are you using, anyway? From RaidDruid/AutoBot:

Notice that when you do /bc follow, the macro sees that, executes a bunch of crap, but the main thing it does is /stick hold uw. /bc follow = /stick hold (uw might not be in yours, can't remember if I added it or not.

More stick stuff above. Look for the place where following is on and you enter a combat situation. Either your macro needs a new stick target or needs to turn stick off, like rd:

I'm guessing you're not using AutoBot, though. Just follow the money trail in your macro and you'll see why your characters are behaving the way they are.

The last patch I had all kinds of weirdness on my rogue and bard with mq2moveutils. it seems to have fixed itself in this patch.

But seriously, that's odd. I didn't notice such movement problems.

I solved this by creating a /bc follow and /bc stop hot button, it's just become habit to hit either one depending on what I'm doing. I also have /rdpause and /bcaa //rdpause buttons, as well. /shrug

Using ModBot, this probably happens because:

1. You have yourself set as Puller.
2. Your bard is probably MA/MT, and you have his ACAssistPct=100 (or higher)
3. The mob you are targetting is within the bard's Radius.

So, your bard thinks you have pulled a mob for him to beat on :) I have to always watch who I am targetting (since I am puller) when we are 'active'. I have gotten much more used to right-clicking on NPC's instead of left-click/con. You may also think about lower the bard's Radius, especially on dungeon crawls, etc, so he doesn't go 'running off' to beat on things that you accidentally targetted and that aren't really going to bother you.

Basically, when I am 'moving around', like dungeon crawling or simply moving camp, I mbpause all the bots. I have 1 hotkey that /bca mbpauses's them, and another hotkey that /bca unpauses's them and also does a /bca letsroll. Pause is good for a few things. Not only will your tank stop attacking your targets, but your toons will all stop casting (ie, no self buffing while we are walking, and no chanters mezzing things that they aren't supposed to be, and of course, nobody breaking invis!...hehe).

Also, if you have them on follow and not paused, things don't always act right. If we are moving and killing, I usually... 1. Pause. (1a. Invis) 2. Follow 3. Stop 4. Unpause and Letsroll. Rinse/repeat. It may seem like an annoyance, but this method has always worked well for me.

thanks for the responses guys, just got settled after moving the day after I posted that.

I'm at the point where I'm convinced the error is in mq2moveutils or mq2melee as opposed to modbot even. Might be why the titanium client didn't do this for me, something that was added is this "tweak" im experiencing but damn is it a lot of code to go through.

It's not in anyones ini to act this way but I adjusted the bards radius settings lower. Lots of plug and play to do
