Just got educated on what "state" was reporting. It seems I wanted the flag, instead.

Thanks Kaz.

I've already got this one worked out.

It's more complicated than it seems; eq doesn't really keep 1 simple "I'm casting now" flag...

I would also really like to see this added... I think it would be as simple as checking to see if the spell casting timer bar exists or not... or at least whether or not EQ has made a request for it, since the graphic can vary in custom UIs.

Is this doable? Or maybe just a $castPanel like $InvPanel that is TRUE if the window is open?

Didn't I CVS this function back on the 12th?

lol And here I thought the rest of us were just trying to keep the CVS up to date with your changes Plaz. You release so many fixes at once (and thank you for that) that it's hard sometimes to know what has been CVS'd in and what hasn't.

I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but it sounds like you put in this functionality into MQ. If so, is it possible to get an exampe? I've searched for iscasting, castPanel, and castwin on the boards and in the documentation and tryed $char(state) in game (gives me STAND when casting). If you've already given examples, just tell me to FO and keap looking, or maybe a little hint as to what it would be under.

$char(casting) -- true/false if you are casting

Is what he had posted. I'm not sure what offset you need for this to work.

Thanks

thats because the offset in eqgame.ini is wrong

just change the offset and it will work...

Code: Select all

CastingWindow=005EDC8C
