I had successfully installed and launched (compiled) mq2 in early July. Went on vacation for two weeks - new game patch - so I reinstalled mq2. Now it wont' work. I am not a programmer. What to do? The system tray no longer displays the icon and no matter how many different directories I reinstall to, nothing I do will make the macroquest2.exe program launch. re-ran mq2auth, everything..

Help!

You have to download the source from here every time their is patch.

Download source, copy and paste over top of what you did before. Recompile it. Then run.

It should also be noted that doing this right now will prove fruitless as the source is outdated by the last two eqgame.exe patches.

Read this: http://www.macroquest2.com/includes/was ... #mq2update

And just in case you missed it:

When there is a patch to the EverQuest eqgame.exe be sure check the forums to see if there has been a change to MacroQuest2.

DO NOT visit the MQ2 website and post that MQ2 is broken on a patch day if a new eqgame.exe was pushed.

In the OP's case, the last 9 months worth of patches.
