Okay, we'll i've been trying to research the awnser for 2 nights now. I cannot yet this working. here is the wiki guide I'm using to compile.

http://www.macroquest2.com/wiki/index.p ... _and_xp.2A

I'm following the last part on there, Compiling using free visual basic (censor: i'm an idiot; please ignore me) 2008 *vista and xp*. the very last part on the page. And what it says, is not happening.

particularly:

9. when the window comes up u will see a box on the left that has mq2main right click that and scroll down to "set as start up project" it should now be displayed in bold

10. right click mq2 main again and click build at the top should say 1 succeeded when process is complete.

11. go up to the top and click Build then scroll down to batch build and when that window comes up click select all (will check all the plugins to build). once completed depending on the amount of plugins it will show xx sucessful xx failed xx up to date

When it comes up, there is no box on the left. On the right there are boxes. m2qmain,when you right click it, there is no set up as start up project. Only edit and remove. There is no Build at the top either. So I cannot get mq2 installed as of now, please help =)

MSN messenger is lichnations@hotmail.com. Thanks.

umm, if you would have been using visual basic (censor: i'm an idiot; please ignore me), that would have been the answer.

Just because you change the rules in the middle of the game doesn't mean you get to disqualify those that played through already.

And your answer? Start over.

When you first click on the SLN ~ slow down and read every popup before you het hit Next or OK. You will see "file type not supported" or something of that nature.

I had this problem as well. I am too stupid to figure it out and didnt want to bother ppl on the forum when all that I had to do wsa go back and install 2005 and the SDKs, so that it what I did!

Working like a charm, just like it always has.

May not be the fix you want, and if you DID figure it out, please post here. My solution works however, so if your still having the same problem just go back to the older version to compile.

You need the particular visual basic (censor: i'm an idiot; please ignore me) that is C++ not just any version.
