I was hunting in EC farming silks to start raising my tailoring and farming skins to raise my smithing over 160 using the farm macro. Well, I was at my computer (I was really watching TV though) occasionally looking at my monitor to see if the macro was working fine, and occassionally doing GM spot checks. About 30 minutes later I notice a GM in commons, I quickly /unload and play for about another 2 minutes manually farming than log. I log back on a few hours later, 2 GMs are on, both in cshome. So, I turn script back on and continue the boredom that is farming. I look away and watch an episode of that seventy's show or something, and I turn back /who all GM, and there is one in EC. I hit R to see if I had recieved any tells, and there werent any, but just to be safe /unload and than return to 'human' farming. I look around and there is a GM chasing me, asking me if I needed food and water. I than give him a nicely made up excuse as to why I wasnt responding to him, and he says ' No problem, just checking up'. I than casually go back to human mode farming, /who all GM and he was back in cshome.

Just wanted to put this up as (yet another) warning, no matter what macro your using, be careful and pay attention to whats going on. I dunno what he would have done had I not reponded when I did.

I've talked to several GMs about the whole issue myself, and like an idiot I've been caught a couple times also... The only thing they say they penalize is: "Unattending macroing" or something. I've been on Erollisi Marr for about 2 years or so and talked to several GMs about it... They say it's fine as long as you are at the keyboard and able to respond just as quick as if you weren't macroing... I think what they are trying to avoid is "bots". If you look at Diablo II, the biggest ruin in that game now is not a hack, but different variations of a bot program run via a bunch of macros. That's what Verant is most likely trying to avoid IMO.
