How do you do events?

Post by LamahHerder » Sat Jun 29, 2002 2:39 am

Would like to use some triggers for a script on events,

was wondering how to read/watch the log file(dont matter which)/text in game (non chat channel)

For like when a buff wears off (The blades fall away....)
Or like When your target has been slain (You have slain...)
Or like target too far away on spell cast (Your target is out of range, get closer!)

are you talking about the eq log or the mq log?

if you mean the mq.log file -- all you have to do is open the file in the Logs directory

i.e. cheese.mac, the log file is called cheese.mac.log in the Logs directory

I think he's talking about the eq log, and I was wondering this too.

I'm trying to figure out how to trigger events on text like

"You are stunned"

or

"You haven't recovered yet"

or for bards

"You missed a Note"

Any Ideas.
