Stay Away From Cheese!

Sucks. Im sure other macros are okay, like bear fillets. Well, for now atleast. They just know where to check for macro'ers. Is there other merchants that sell rennet besides SH and FG?

It _is_ cheating. But who the f*&% wants to play a game where all you do is point n click, point n click, point n click, point n click... ad infinitum until your fingers cramp, your mind numbs, and your vision becomes horribly blurry by staring at the same screen for forever, trying to raise your faction/skills.

To Verant: When I buy a game, I buy it to tinker with it, to find out all I can about its inner workings. That's my entertainment. If they want to ban me for playing - good. One less thing to waste my time on, and I can move on to better games, that allow me to actually PLAY how I WANT to play.

There is another character on my server who it is plain as day that is running the script just as I am we have kinda played it off as we are medding you will know who you are if i accidently gave you a stein this mornin I just want to know if it was you today is the first time I have seen you not running the script


BECAUSE NOW THAT ONE PERSON IS BUSTED IM SURE THEY WILL REVIEW THE VENDORS ON EACH SERVER SEPARATLY.

as we all know GM's can see the last 10 lines therefore even if we are sitting there watching the script run they can tell if we type /unload /endmacro or /mqpause is there a way to make it stop by doing a reply or /t something such as an everyday normal command.

How was he busted? He was running cheese while away from the comp and A gm got suspicious? More details please if you can.

Im at work behind a firewall, cant use IRC, can you just say how he got caught without giving too much detail?

Same feeling here cha-ching. Ive been really nervous about running MQ at all lately. I dont know if he got caught doing a obvious macro or if verant has figured out a way to detect MQ. Some more details would be nice.

I have eqw running at the bottom of the screen, windows posted ontop of that. This way i can see if i get a tell, responding to it (/mqpause) This seems to work effiecently, but i am yet to get a tell from a gm

Heh, I really wish I had this program when the jumjum exploit was still arround. If you never heard of it, between the last patch and the one before, when they released all the new recepies, there was one for JumJum Spiced Bear. Cost, about 3 gold to make a stack that sold for 15 plat. A guild mate discovered it and told it to me, and I immediately got my brewing from 0 to 140 in one night, and the next morning started making jumjum. In the day i made over 10k. But allas it was too late, and they unpoped the merchant that sold the jumjum, leaving myself and a half dozen others waiting all night, hopeing she would repop. Then the patch that night, and it was no more. heh. I can only imagine how much I could have made with the speed of this program.

Oh well, got my 10k out of cheese. Guess that is out too. Well, next patch is more recpies, lets hope they overlook something again.

Well, I ran a test last night.... I signed up a new account (will cancel within 30 days) and left the macro running all night.. I came back to the char select screen --- I was running the macro that auto-logs you if you get a /tell or if there's a GM in the zone, going through the log file, I saw that there was a GM in zone, but did not send me a tell.

So the macro works or worked for me, will run it again over night.
