You mean illegal, and no. MacroQuest 2 is legal, we do not host any illegal material. "Mighty" Sony can't even make a decent MMO, and they certainly don't ban people for using MacroQuest (but they DO ban people for using exploits such as warping). I still have my account I started in 2000 and my full name and mug shot are readily available. If they wanted to ban me, there's nothing in their way. So if you want to try to tell me everything is black and white and there are no shades of grey, I will call you a liar. Nothing is black and white. EQPlayNice is a stripped-down MQ2, and thousands of people use it daily, and John Smedley indicated years back that EQPlayNice is not on their radar. How's that for a shade of grey for you?

For one you cant spell, for two ... what? I respect those who deserve it, everyone knows that. I have this hunch that you are the guy I banned a few days ago because he donated $5 and wanted into VIP, even though in bold red letters the donations page says that if you donate under $10 you shouldn't expect to be "very important". I don't even keep the donations these days, they go to the developers who have been more active on the projects.

I dont need MQ2 to "feed my ego", in fact I kind of despise MQ2 at this point because of certain factors of its design. First off, MQ2 is 90% non-EQ related (e.g. injection, detouring, scripting engine, plugin system, etc), and 10% EQ-related. It should be more like 90% EQ-related. But, that's not really MQ2's fault, it's the fact that an architecture like Inner Space wasn't around. But, uhh... that's why I created IS, and dirtied up the MQ2 source with a lot of preprocessor blocks so that ISXEQ could exist with little maintenance beyond what is already done with MQ2. And I'm not saying that anyone should switch to ISXEQ just for the fact that it exists, because MQ2 is certainly "more free" and, well, it works and lots of people use it. Nothing wrong with that.

No, it's just that it's not condoned here. It's not something that we as a community need to "grow up" about. It's simple rules of our online society. It just so happens that it is relatively conservative, and we draw a line where you will not cross here. If you want to cross that line, go somewhere else. It's not like half of the US needs to "grow up" because they don't want marijuana legalized, it's that they have a differing viewpoint, and they happen to be conservative, whereas you may be more liberal and think it should be legal because you should be able to do whatever you want in the privacy of your own home since it's not hurting anybody. Differing viewpoints. Welcome to life.
