I have added to the wiki. I am not a programmer so I hope I did everything correct. Please tell me if it needs to be corrected. This problem happened to me when I attempted to compile my own MQ2 and I do not have it resolved yet.

What you described can also be the result of not having recompiled the Plugins.

I used the version of MQ2 that is posted here on these forums. The instructions did not say anything about having to compile plugins.

What is the exact error that you are getting. You point to something in the WIKI that is somewhat obscure.

I get the generic errror in EQ when you type a command that is not correct. I do not get any kind of error in MQ2.

So you load mq
you load eq
you get into game
you see the mq2 chat window
you type __________
you get "that command doesn't exist"
I'm still waiting for some specifics.
So far it's like getting directions from a woman. "How do I get to Joe's Repair Shop." "Oh, you go that way" while she points in some random direction.

Umm... So you did start macroquest? What commands you using? Do you see the MQ window in game? What commands are you trying to use? There's really nothing anyone can help you with if you don't tell anyone at least the minimal detail...

ok sorry for not answering all the questions at first. I will attempt to do that now. I log in and I see the chat window. I open the map and I only see the regular map. I do not see all the creatures in the entire zone like you are suppose to. I then try to use the command /warp target or /warp succar and I get the following error: This is not a valid command Please use /Help. This message is in the EQ window and not the MQ2 chat window.

So in other words, your problem is you wanted something you can't get here.

Warp is an exploit. Not a standard MQ command. Map is normal until you use the commands in the manual. ie. /mapshow npc
Also, maybe you should read the sticky at the top of this forum before posting stuff...
