learning offsets...

EDIT: ah crud, I didn't even realize someone had already posted it, never mind... 
.. I only had 4 mistakes, but I've deleted the code so noone gets confused over which ones to use.
This is the first time I've ever done offsets, so please don't consider these ready for production use... The only testing I've done is to make sure it doesn't crash when you start the client, but I was so proud of myself, I just had to post it up. I don't have the capacity to fix everything tonight, so if there are any problems, please post them here and I'll fix it tomorrow...
