I am a noob and probably going to get chewed up for this, but when I click on MQ2, and go to play EQ, a small box pops and says "Incorrect Client Version". When I load EQ and play, the MacroQuest features do not work. Is there anything I can do to fix this? again, I am a noob :?

My guess is that you have the incorrect client version. Try to fix that.

well, I agree I have the incorrect client version, but how do I get the correct one? Do I uninstall and reinstall MacroQuest2?

Rather than telling me to shut up, you could have said "You just need to wait until a new zip comes out."

IF you bothered to read the manual, allbeit a scary thought, this thread wouldn't exist.
DO NOT visit the MQ2 website and post that MQ2 is broken on a patch day if a new eqgame.exe was pushed.

You have been warned!!!
Alternatively you could use "Search" from the wonderful menu above. I've taken the liberity of doing this for you...

....well thats the relative ones from page 1 of 3.

Now, herein lies the reason why people get upset. It's a pretty safe bet that I spend 10 times the amount of time answer your question as compared to the time you invested in figuring out on your own.

Is your time that valuable? Is my time worth less than yours?

A piece of advice...

How are you NOT going to get flamed? You didnt even post a question!

Look at the top page of MQ2::Help posts. Here's what got flamed:
- "Can someone send me this file, blah blah sendthisfile.com"
- "I'm trying to compile MQ2, I get 'application not installed'"
- "I want a certain macro, but I HAVENT LOOKED IN THE MACRO DEPOT"
- "Incorrect client version messages" (this gets flamed every patch)
- "I compiled it but i dont see spawns on the map and I read the entire manual except for the part about the map"
AND
- "why is everyone so quick to "flame " everyone here"

There are plenty of legitimate questions that received legitimate answers. Yours is not one of them.

Umm... that is like one of the worst questions you could even ask in these forums. I'll just let you know the responce to your question could have easily been answered if you read the instruction manual. Also you were just "asking" for the responce that you recieved. I learned my lesson the first time I posted. I didn't even go back to check the responce, olny because I've been hanging around these forums so long. And the worst boo boo you made was actually replying to the thread after you recieved your answer haha.

Unable to download MQ2 - MQ2-20141031.zip

When I click on the link nothing happens. Is the link to the source code broken? With the previous version I had no problem downloading it. I have tried multiple times over the last 2 days with no luck.

BTW in the general instruction on compiling MQ - rather than refer them to the Forums it was much better when I looked at the Wiki. Using the Wiki I was able to compile it easy as pie.

Thanks
