automatically loading isxeq?

eqgame.exe crashes anytime I unload isxeq. (this includes when I camp to desktop)
eqgame.exe crashes if I load up isxeq before getting to the character select screen.
I'd really like to be able to have my eq profile automatically load those clients for me, but I'm not sure how to make them wait before loading, or if I should even have to.
I've only been using IS for a couple days, so I'm not sure if there is just something obvious that I'm missing.

Yeah lax! /duck
loadisxeq.iss
Code: Select all
function main()
{
ext -require isxeq
ext isxeqmelee
ext isxeqmoveutils
ext isxeqmap
return 0
}
you get the idea... put in the ones you want to load, make sure isxeq is first with -require in case it happens to fail for whatever reason, you don't want it running the rest of the stuff if it does. Then once you are in game just type runscript loadisxeq into the console.

Any scripts made to use ISXEQ should have the ext -require line at the top of the main function. Same with scripts that require isxeqmelee, do ext -require isxeqmelee, etc.

Bug found and fixed in Inner Space (in a future build)
eqgame.exe crashes if I load up isxeq before getting to the character select screen.
Bug found and fixed in ISXEQ, in CVS.
These two bugs can be fixed right now in ISXEQ by removing the software cursor service usage from ISXEQ.cpp. You can do this by commenting out line 161 in ISXEQ.cpp, which is
Code: Select all
IS_SoftwareCursorEnable(this,pISInterface,hSoftwareCursorService,&SoftwareCursorInterface);
I'm not sure the software cursor service is necessary anymore for ISXEQ anyway, after the mouse changes.

Thanks lax. That helps a ton.
Works great, I can unload now! :)
I do notice, however, that there are some clients that still crash the game from the login screen. isxeqlegacy and isxeqmoveutils are two that I still need to wait before I can load. Not that big of an issue, as I can just run a script once I'm in game to load them... but I figured I'd mention it anyway.
edit: after commending out that line, I notice that if I have the console up, it wont lose keyboard focus, tho I can still click on whatever I want to with the mouse, I'll see the cursor move, but anything I type will go to the console window.
I don't really care one way or the other, but it was a change that I didn't expect.
