possible "ultimate" macro?

Im an absolute newbie in here so dont come down to hard on me =P

Would it be possible to make a macro that records your actions in game for a period of time (that the macro would define) and thus create new macros?
for example:you would turn the macro on (call it macro A), run around in a circle, then turn the macro off
then you would have a new macro to run (call it macro B) which would run you in a circle.
and so on and so forth... then people could easily create hundreds of macros without having to request specific ones from the board?

just a thought, flame me to a crisp if theres already something out there, or if im just dumb ={)

no needs to flame.

xylobot does this interestingly enough.. its actually all that it does.

you could log your locs or where your mouse clicks every second and repeat stuff that way but it would require significanyt coding afterwards, as EQ actions dont directly translate to MQ functions, but instead the other way around

actually, i was thinking more along the lines of logging your keystrokes , the only loc you would need would be your starting position, after that everything *seems* like it would be fairly simple to me. Is xylobot ok to use, or is that a major no-no ?

That sounds like a hybrid mix between Xylobot and MQ. It almost sounds like what you want is the same third party program, UOAssist, that Ultima Online has.

Of course, that program is sanctioned by Origin, so that actually helps it out.

I am too new to MQ to answer the question, but UO players have had something similar for a while.

I guess if somebody was perverse enought thay could turn MQ into a com object and then make all the commands and variables available to xylobot.

However i dont see the point myself. Just learn MQ script and youll be able to do things far better than just recording a few keystrokes. After all recording running in a circle is fine but with mq you could just do the maths and run in an almost perfect circle, and drop rations along the way to make a nice picture, or maybe drop rations along a path to lead children into your coattage to capture and eat later. Mwahahahahahhahaaa

xylobot can record keystrokes as well as mouse actions. I used to use xylobot before I discovered macroquest. macroquest is soo much easier. I still use xylobot though for their nifty ingame map feature.

hehe, ive looked through enough posts now to kinda figure out how macroquest works, and i agree that it would be easier just to learn how to program macros. recording actions would only help make things appear natural, but again, that could be offset by good programming. It would still be a good program to make, tho, if someone wanted to put forth the effort. thanks for the replies, everybody

Ooka, thanks for not being stereo-typical newb and instead someone who is willing to learn. I applaud thee.

We re here to help with questions, as always.. you might get flamed but we have to let out our frustration someway..
