I am still gettin an incorrect version once i compile and run MQ and eq. I have bee trying to figure this out since the 9th which was after the patch for DoD and the fix for MQ was released have been unable to figure out what is wrong unless MQ is still down for some reason do the the constant patching they are doing but i have not seen another eqgame.exe in the patch since the release date of DoD.

Just wondering if everyone is gettin the error and MQ is down or i am doing something wrong

Hrm...

Must just be you, it is working fine for me.

Might want to try re-formatting your computer and buying new RAM, that worked for my friend.

Hope that helps!

MQ2 is still borked. the expansion changed changed alot of structures themselves, so it's not merely an offset issue.

The team need to find how in memory things have been reorginized, which can take considerable time.

Yes, there has been a new eqgame.exe, several in fact. A new MQ download will probably not be available for several days since Sony, in their wonderful beta testing methods, will probably be doing patches left and right due to the recent new expantion release. It just isn't worth the time to ready a new zip, just to have it be worthless within a day or two.

My advice to you, based on the fact you failed to notice two important facts...
1) You didn't notice the handfull of eqgame.exe patches
2) You haven't read the many warnings in these forums and TFM about posting regarding "Incorrect Client Version" errors
...that you turn off your computer and run, just run. Unless you are made of asbestos.

1) several users use this computer for eq so patches are downloaded before i get home usually

2) yes i have read the warnings and i posted anyway becasue i was very frustrated, so at #2 you got me and i am turning my computer off now and running, running very fast

You're frustrated? Oh no! You, whoever you may be, are going to singlehanded motivate the devs into getting off their lazy butts and fixing your MQ.

Let me be the first to applaud your couragous decision to stand up to these evil devs! In the spirit of the occasion, I suggest you get off you ass and fix it yourself if you're so frustrated.

Otherwise, shut the fuck up, sit the fuck down, and be a good lil nooblet.

I helped them motivate with a donation since the new expansion, when i didnt even buy the expansion :( .

That's what i suggest you do to help motivate them.

I'm sure the MQ2 devs are doing all they can in the time they have available to em due to RL stuff to resolve all the issues they are expeirenceing in tryign to get MQ2 to work for everyone. Considereing the fact the SoE devs have changed the eqgame.exe, what 2 or 3 times already since DoD came out does tend to slow things down just a bit . Plus take into mind that there are prolly a crap load of new code to pour through to make sure that MQ2 will work. If I remember correctly last time an expansion came out with new content and such the MQ2 devs had to work just as hard to make sure MQ2 worked without doing the CTD dance or showing an improper client message

I think that's because a lot of us have quit EQ and only come around every few days, or none at all - or becuase we are smart enough to know that if they fucking patch 30 times in 2 days then we should just chill without, and not even bother the boards for a week - as that's a good estimate of when it'll be released.

But, a few images never hurt anyone...
