Obligatory patch day message.

Before you post "OMG MAH MACROQUEST DONT WORK?!?!?!!11 WTF LOL" read these facts:

-Sony patched eqgame.exe today. This means that Macroquest will have to be updated.

-There is no update available at the time of this writing.

-Don't ask when the update will be released. I don't know, and bugging the devs will get them angry and less likely to cater to the masses

-With a little skill you can update the offsets and structures yourself. However, not many are willing to put in the effort to do so, and the guides are no longer publicly available because of a recent effort to decrease macroquest's popularity, in response to something to do with "monkey ass crack sniffers"

-It is easy to update macroquest yourself through the experimental offsets posted in the dev forum. This forum is only available to VIP, which includes those who have donated money to the developers.

-The above statement does not equate to "MQ2 is no longer free" or "MQ2 is no longer GPL"

-There WILL be an update publicly posted eventually. Do without your FREE program for a while, sheesh.

OMG MQ2 not working, who do I complain to? Does it help if I write a few flame posts on the different forums?

hehe, all these patches gives me time to actually work on my macro projects, and when MQ2 is back, I fix the bugs in the macros I work on, so a little break is always nice :)

Keep up the good work folks

Thats wonderful. So, those of us who would like to help, and are directed to search for the means to do so, have no recourse.

all instanced zones were not up...

Thats a server side thing not a EQgame.exe problem.

I'm expecting another EQgame.exe patch on friday though so I'm not even hunting up offsets...I can hold off till the weekend or till the dev's here get it up and running.

Instanced zones usually don't require a server patch.

Booo hooooo

 Seriously. We've spoiled you all. There's nothing stopping you from helping. Not to direct this at you personally, but in general, the people who make a post like this dont actually help at all with what they say they will (e.g. finding offsets). They either give up, or simply help themselves instead of others...

And in fact, finding offsets is the least of our problems. There's probably 50 people who already have the skill and knowledge it takes to find the offsets lurking these boards, as well as another 50 that use a random program to try to do it without having either (skill or knowledge). It's nice that people want to learn to do it but it's not something we particularly need help with. Offsets are simply one piece of the puzzle, not to mention the easiest and first one done.

To be honest, if you dont already have the skill and knowledge, the best you can do is wait for an update.
