Recently theres been a huge amount of hacking going on across servers late at night in the corners of norrath. Ive heard it called superkill, ghosting, skeeting and various other terms but let me explain how it works. With macroquest 2 a person can with appropriate plugin force their client to believe they are one place yet effect things other places. Basically a rogue can melee to death a mob while standing at zone in, and the mob sits stupidly wondering whats happening. This program is allowing people on servers to effectively solo the highest end of content with one or two people, and is ruining the game for people. Ive seen no less than 5 different people abusing this lately and all my petitions have been ignored, and nothing is being done to stop them. Watching a ranger solo all the elemental named in one night or a rogue take down hulcor by himself is really getting to be annoying. This could so easily be fixed by making mobs summon at infinite range and adding a few checks serverside. Please help those of us this is ruining the game for.

many of them also have the hack that makes them a GM when they log in. i saw 2 on morellthule usiing it but did no good to report them.

The amount of misinformation these people spread is scary. I stopped reading the EQlive boards.... oh wait, I never really bothered reading them to begin with.

Forums like EQLive are horrible. People spend more time either complaining or complaining, then playing the game.
I read them from time to time (usually the Dev tracker) to see if I can find any "useful" info on things such as upcoming patches/expansions, but that's about it.

Just send a tell to a GM asking for it, you can use petition for it, but it'll take longer.

Just heard word that soe has started whacking people over the head with the ban stick for some of the more serious exploits that people are doing (such as killing raid mobs with a 3-4people). It's about time is all I have to say.
So if you think they're not watching you may want to think again. On second thought.. Just keep doing what you're doing. Nobody will know. Really.

Well, if you heard it, it must be true.
Nothing personal, but this is the internet, rumors abound, and most of them are unfounded. SOE's customer support is so piss poor and understaffed I seriously doubt they have the time or corportate direction to be reviewing logs of who killed what when and how. The most egregious cheaters will get banned, they always do, but I doubt SOE has put in new tools/tricks to check for cheaters to be honest.
