All was fine in morning, then later that night when loading EQ / MQ...

EQ and MQ2 running yet MQ2 wouldn't r4espond, so went and closed MQ2 which kills both MQ2 and EQ.
First Time I've had EQ crash =\, hope I followed "How to Report" right.

readme.chm wrote:MacroQuest2 can be stopped at any time by typing /unload in the EverQuest client, then right clicking the icon in the system tray and selecting exit.

Do not close Macroquest2 without typing /unload in the EverQuest client first. If you do, EverQuest will crash.

First of all, that's not a crash.

Second, don't do this:
ModLoad: 10000000 1009b000 C:\WINDOWS\system32\MQ2Main.dll
Is your macros directory c:\windows\system32\macros?

Only two places that I put MQ stuff is:

Everything downloaded from MQ website goes to c:\Docs\Mq2\

Second folder is c:\Mq2 (this is where new zip are unpacked /compiled, the only thing I go in this folder for is to c:\Mq2\Release\Macros\ . To place macs & files needed for those macs.)

Had a .dll issue few days ago which lead me to finding 6 Mq2Main.dll's on my win2K system, where the only .dll that resided in c:\Mq2\Release\ was current from latest compile. These other 5 were placed ..
c:\program files\resource pro kit (why here?)
c:\windows
c:\windows\system
c:\windows\system32
c:\windows\system32\wbem
Above list from bottom of Page Six at Building MQ2 for free with non-expiring MS tools.

Thought to be odd these 5 .dll's were all old and were not updated by newly zip/compile routines. I didn't place them and there but I did delete & replace them with c:\MQ2\Release\MQ2Main.dll...

Sorry Dkaa, I should have asked further in other thread about WTF win2K had 6 whereas XP only has 1. Instead I tried to give it a go myself and not bug my brother (who handles and issues with EQ/MQ) while he still out of town.
Serves me right that I FuX'd myself for succombing to self preservation which lead me to avoid asking questions in public forums when thread searches weren't enough as well as fear waking the Legion of Flame Tro0olls.!?!

Delete all MQ2 stuff and scattered dll's. easy enough. Is it possible to fubar EQ files or Window files? I mean in a round about way through other actions, I've never directly messed with win files or EQ (aside from custom UI's).
