WARNING: A fake in the mist

Post by Losingteam » Fri Feb 04, 2005 9:45 pm

Hmm. Some days I rendomally look around the EQ links and Look what I found.
http://www.redguides.com/games/everques ... tcheat.htm
Scroll down to the bottom and click on the picture... It opens...http://www.redguides.com/html/images/adshot3.jpg
Now, look REALLY close. Anyone else see MQ2MoveUtils and MQ2Twist.

This guy is clearly claiming MQ2 as his own and just renameing it to EQ Underground. Worst of all he is trying to charge $5.95 monthly or $24.98 a year. Either way, this guy is a dupe!!!! Be warned.

it works when i went there, looked at some of their screenshots, their code is 100% identical to mq2

thats pretty sneaky of them.

is there a way to access their forums and post stuff without registering?

need to let any poor bastards who paid them money, know that theyve been scammed, and if they wanna pay money lax is teh one who deserves it.

plus all that shit they are advertising is gonna get people banned, that guy is looking for an easy cash grab i guess,

Actually, he isn't claiming MQ2 as his own.

Anyone who goes there and pays for things they could get here free gets what they deserve.

There's a few key problems with what you just said.

1. MQ isn't ment for "Newb"'s and its not ment to be user friendly. if you can figure out how to use it, more power to you. If you can't you are plain SoL and should LEARN how to use it.

2. Selling things you can get as freeware is against the law (Note: not ALL freeware, since this is already copyrighted it BELONGS to whoever copyrighted it. I think that its Lax and plasmatic or whatnot, but I could be mistaken)

3. You sir are a fuck nut and should already know that this program isn't for average joe moron who will end up getting banned cause he ran in a circle with 18 other guys who run the program in the same loc in the same zone.

Go die IRL...
I can't believe you had the gall to bitch about that and be like oh lax doesnt have a job because hes a DICKFACE. Yeah im a dickface, because you're a fucking COCKSUCKER. OHNOES.

Shut up, who do you think you are? Only because i or other dont have a fucking clue how to write scripts or whatever we can go fuck ourselfs? While i agree this is not for the "average" player you cant just decide who should be allowed to use it or not. This "we made MQ because tradeskilling sucks" aint an excuse. People abuse this, i have a few people on my server who are farmer and sell shit for money. Even no drop items, fair competition is okay but he is godlike with his warping. Absolutaly no chance beating him. Guess since he has the "knowledge" or wait you said power he should be allowed to do that. You wish me to die in RL?' come over here and tell that in my face and we'll see who has a death wish. Piss off

MacroQuest is sort of like the Darwin Awards, idiots get what's coming.

Part of the reason it isn't idiot friendly is to keep the semi-intelligent idiots out; you know the ones, those who know that they don't understand it well enough to even try.

Then there are the moronic idiots who think they can manage anyway and then come crying when it doesn't work and when they do eventually get the most basic functions working run it in such a way as to scream "I'm running macros!", thus bringing the rage of the SoE gods upon them, at which time they come crying about being banned.

There are also the people like me, we have the tools, we have some knowledge and we rip and hack other macros to learn. Sometimes we manage, sometimes not. But when we ask for help, we can show what we're trying to do and get help with making it work. We get the help lwe get because we are honestly trying. I've written a few minor but utilitarian macros, each one teaching me something new.

Beyond that there are the macro and plugin demi-gods whom I "worship" because I really would like to be that good.

So, if you are an idiot, and don't realize it, that's ok. You'll pay for it in the end; just don't blame the people here.

The other option is that you evolve and begin to learn and become at least a thinking, inquisitive, macro ripping nutcase and start to understand things the hard but helpful way.

If you insist on being a fucking moronic idiot, I look forward to your being banned and your eventual set of posts here bitching about your own stupidity for using something you didn't understand well enough in the first place.

Oh, I don't know if my penis is bigger, but it put a smile on her face.
