Need some help. I have done the cheese recipe and it still works but I can't get the macro to work. I target Granger but then I get 4 lines of you have no target then it opens granger vendor window and stops. It does nothing else. Do I need to put a delay in to wait for the vendor window to open?

Sounds like the Merchant name variable isn't set right or just isn't there. Make sure near the top of the code you have the merchant name set right.

No, I had that problem. I told it to /press u 6 times instead of 1.
Try it and see.

What is your "u"? I am using the mac from page 1 with almost no changes.

Code: Select all
Sub SellBuy
| Open merchant
/click left auto
/target Granger
/face
-> /press u <-
/varset v55 0
/doevents flush
:sellwait
There. =D I had 6 /press u's instead of just one. Try it.

pressing U usally uses something, so i'd aussme if you got the merchant targeted it would be the same as /click right target....

Salutations,
yes, you can replace it with click right target if you wanted. press u would work even if he wasn't targetted, but can also do othing things (ie person between you and merchant) so it is best to actually use /click right target. I'm gonna update this macro this week so its more up to date.

I've gotten a couple messages asking how I get ~280pp per hour when some are only getting ~150pp. I'll post some info I've observed running the macro.
I have a 384k both up and down DSL connection.
My system:
ATI Radeon 8500 original 64 ddr
Athlon XP 1700
512mb DDR PC2100
Some cheap network card
Windows XP Pro
Tweaks ~
http://www.tweakxp.com/tweakxp/display.asp?id=114
I have
AllLuclinPcModelsOff=TRUE
Set the clipping plane to 0 ( shift minus repeatedy )
in my EQClient.ini and everything else turned off or on low.
Do the 'Amulet of Haven' quest at least once to bring your merchant faction to amiable, the more times you do it the better your faction. Also try to buy charisma items. A Crude Stein is a good start for a charisma boost ~30pp. My charisma is 160.
I'm using a lvl 4 enchanter on a seperate account with max points put into charisma in creation and the rest into wisdom to help reduce failures.
Get your baking skill to 135 making fish rolls to lessen the chances of failures. Best way to go is make batwing crunchies until skill skill 46 then fish rolls to 135. Check EQTraders.com for supply info.
Make sure your datarate is set for your connection. In datarate.txt I have mine set to 9. I have 2 computers and notice if I'm using second computer online playing or whatever my plat per hour goes down so it seems like your connection speed is a factor.

one thing that some people don't relize is that your connect speed will have alot to do with it as well, if your on a modem it's going to slower then if your on DSL / CABLE
if you hit F11 - you should see a little green bar up the top with a number on each and and two % numbers in the middle (hopefully 0% on both)
the higher the numbers are on the end, the longer it takes your computer to talk to the eq servers, so say, if they where 250, you should be able to do 4 cobimes a second, but if your at 1000, you'd only be able to do 1.

Actually if you can get your character to Jaggedpine you can make both batwings crunchies and fishrolls from the same merchants there. No one has posted it yet but in Jaggedpine you can get all baking supplies to get you from 0 skill to 135 skill in the same room.
jaggedpine have all stuff??!!

Sounds like a VI big trap to me...
They are nerfing most of the tradeskills, removing most of the characters that allow to make cash with quest etc.
And suddenly in a patch they add a zone with a merchant that allow to max all in a unique room..
Too strange for me to be a mistake.
Anyway i'm not actually using MQ to raise my tradeskills. I have MQ on during my playtime to take advantage of some nice features (target etc.), and at night to max my various spells line or skills.
The boring part of EQ for me was allways to raise skills. Don't like to have skills not maxed, but standing somewhere just casting true north for 2 hours or waste 1 hour every time i ding to max all my skills is really the part that i don't like.
Well maybe when i will be really higher levels i will work on tradeskills too, but strangely i don't plan to use MQ for making PP profit, just want to only take the fun from the game..
