Hey Frequency, sorry to see you got banned. I just wanted to say that your UI was one of the things that made playing EQ tolerable. It was innovative and excellent. I just want to say I appreciated your hard work in making what I consider the best UI available.

I did the fix that freq posted, and I was able to get the ui up and running. I havent played yet im just testing it out on my trader. but the thing i notice is that there is no email button. but if i click where the email button should be the email window pops up but no options button on that window. so it seems to work ok so far you just cant see the button...

It wont work

I took the liberty of fixing the group window for those that are still having a problem. I did remove distance though because it always had me glancin at the window thinkin a group member's hp was droppin.

Any chance somebody can change the window system back to the old way. I like to be able to name my window and move them by dragging them rather that strecthing them. Thanks in advance.

Get a different UI, one of the parts of this UI is no lame title bars.

Also, you can just delete the EQUI_ChatWindow.xml file from your freq UI directory, then reload the UI, it will use the default for that then.

OK, here is the Frequency_Latest, with all fixes, excepting the following changes from the original freq:

1) Z loc added to Target window. There is an extra .xml I included that is same as old one (i.e., without Z).

2) The compass window, remains the same as far as no borders, but the graphics are different. I would go back and edit it and put in the original graphics Frequency used, but got lazy. =) Use it, or find a .tga that is made the way you want, or edit it yourself. heh.

The fixes:

1) Graphics added for email icons, graphics corrected for various window borders, inv animations, item icons.

2) crystals & reclaim button in inventory (return of the original Freq inventory style also).

3) Group window variable fixes.

4) Player window border fix.

5) Updated animations.

I might have forgotten something, but that's the core of it.

For the buff window, it's as Frequency's original with additional buff slot fixes.

Like I said, this is as per his original UI, except whatever is required to make it work properly again as of today (and a different compass, whoops!).

Since the most recent game patch and the most recent mq2 release. I personally have been having bugs with the freq player and target windows. Both windows have a graphic error where it looks like pixels are missing crossing diagonally across the window. Also the AA % read out on the player window is staying at 0.00% and not changing at all. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems?

Yea I have experienced the pixel problem as far as the aa, I'm ok there, well, actually haven't noticed. Pixel problem isnt that bad so wasn't worried about it.

i, like everyone else here, am having the same issue, haven't noticed the aa one yet but then been working on my bard who doesn't yet have aa so yeah. If you look at EQInterface.com they are talking about many bugs in UI caused by the last patch, it's not much an issue with the UI it's more SOE messed up (/gasp and shocked). Think this will be just one of those times that eveyone has to wait for the patch to the patch. i hope this will come soon as there seem to be bugs left and right, nothing new there, but the Gating bug is kinda an issue and i've noticed the new super graphics tend to mess up alot. So no need to keep saying your UI is broken for it seems it's really EQ that is off. Sorry if this at all sounds like a flame, it was not meant to be.

You probably right about the graphics issues cuz i'v tried to fix it and I can't figure what's wrong but the aa % problem in my view seems to be a ui problem because other people's uis I have talked to that don't use freq don't have the problem with the aa % showing up as constantly 0.00%

could try using using a different player window

Ok, the AA might be the ui, as i said my bard doesn't yet use aa so have hit this bug. i wonder though if it has anything to do with the changes just added to MQ dealing with AA. i wouldn't think they would be realted as the MQ fix seemed to deal with the AA being ready to use but could be it. i have also noticed some bugs, least i had, with the most recent version of the UI by HWT. i found the player window's guages tended to be a little off and that overall it didn't look as so nice so i use a mix of his version and the player window from the version posted by Freq. on his site. i love the ui and don't think i would really play without it but at the same time i can see it getting a large upgrade. Last i heard though Freq has more then enough going on in life, both real and EQ, and doesn't really need to be bothered with this. Again love the ui but can see alot of bugs still in it (pet window /stand key being off unless pet up just to name one) and could use fixing and an overhaul but hey it works and don't get any error msgs. so i'm happy :)

This info is not the least bit helpful. I use my own modded interface, a modified SARS. However, I went into game and loaded both FreqHTW and Frequency_Latest, and did some testing.

1) I have no idea what gauges you mean. The code for filling the gauges is the same in both interfaces, and the values looked fine to me.

2) AA exp: In both interfaces, MQ variables are used. For example, to display AA exp, it uses <TooltipReference>${Me.PctAAExp}</TooltipReference>
. In game, if AA exp % is not working for you, then try /echo ${Me.PctAAExp}, and if that is incorrect (it should be, if the UI one is), then you got a problem with your CHARINFO struct, and probably shouldn't be playing with it on your own. ;-)

3) The pet SIT/STAND, with no pet up, is *supposed* to look that way. Please don't go around shouting BUG when you don't know if it IS one. If you were to load up the MQUI_PetInfoWindow.xml, you would see the following comment: <!-- The stand button will ignore its own size/location and always be under the sit button (for smooth toggling) -->

If you have issues/concerns, by all means post them, but try to be concise with what you're seeing. Include basic info, like playing windows/fullscreen, what resolution/color depth, if you're using the UI provided AS IS, or made your own mods, and of course, a clear and concise description of the problem you are experiencing.

Make sure none of the .tga files have been overwritten by another "UI part" that you may have added. For example, you might think you were just making a compass mod, but will find out overwritting the .tga that comes with it, will cause the interface to be fubar'd in places.
