Exact same thing happened to me

This happened to me allso, I had a macro running, was below 10% HP and the macro was trying to healmyself but I was running so it kept getting interupted, when I poped though all gear on me and in bank was gone except cash.

I am using the new UI, have cable connection and 1GB of ram. I reproduced this 5 time on a 3rd account I have with a lvl 1, gave him some gear that gave +75hp and got him to 8% HP then zoned with a macro running, poof all gear gone.

So this is a Bug in MacroQuest

I find it hard to believe that this program can cause ALL things stored on the Server to be deleted. My inkling would be that it is a bug within the EQ UI. Simply cause in EQ there is no DELETE all my junk but cash. If this program was sending a series of codes / sequences to the Server saying delete my stuff the only thing in the EQ client is delete character or delete single item.

1. Has this been confirmed to apply only to people using the New UI verus the Old UI?.

2. How many other people not using MQ have had this happen, but we don't know about it, simply because we (the MQ /Xylobot communities) strive to keep annoymous for our actions will get us banned.

Suggest combing the Everquest support boards for issues of ALL items magically disappearing.

look, it has happened in 8/31 .. it is a MQ bug but it still means verant is full of shite..

Plaz said "poor guy, he must of been lagging" .. this is why a /delay 10 is automatically added after zoning.

Okay, some additional thoughts on the matter.
First, if Plaz was referring to my specific occurrence, I was not visibly lagging at all during the time it took place. The numbers remained well in the GREEN. I have a very good Cable Connection to the servers with little hopping across the Backbone. And there were no lags noticed during the whole day I was in-game. The only Delay.. ONLY Delay was in the Zoning itself. And at first I thought, 'Oh no. I finally get back to using MacroQuest and it caused a lockup of the game." *mutter-mutter* But then to my surprise, the next Zone Screen /finally/ came up in about 30 seconds instead of the usual 10 - 15 seconds (I was Zoning from West Freeport to North Freeport) and BAM no items on me. I wonder how many of you who had this problem were also Zoning there at that exact location?

Second, and this is very peculiar... I still HAVE my True-shot Bow being held in my SECONDARY Hand. I mean the actual 3D GRAPHIC of it is there on my Toon, and anyone looking at my Ranger character can plainly see it. I am holding it but it is NOT actually in my inventory! Nothing is in my Inventory Slots. I cannot get rid of the graphic either. Plainly, this tells me something is Hosed or Corrupted between Client and Server for showing me something I normally carry (yes it was in my Hand when I was zoning at that time) but not allowing me access to the item. I cannot CLICK it OFF or ON.. it is just there while the rest of my char Body is empty of any other Armor or Weapons.

Anyone?

Hah!

This isn't isolated to MQ use. MQ might enhance the deleted items bug but it's not purely an MQ issue.

Whine for the day...don't use MQ while zoning and trying to be lazy shits and not even play the freaking game.

Oh...brutal eh?

This bug has been around for a while now...um yeah...since before the new UI popped up although the New UI has caused it to be more prevalent. I would bet it's trying to issue commands, be they in-game or MQ(same difference..get it) that causes this bug to trip.

So...to all the Uninformed-Lazy-Don't even play the game anymore schmucks...bend over and kiss your ass good-bye.

Ok...now that that's out.. Let me sift thru my own bullshit and give you the cruxt of it all:

This bug is independant of MQ...However, MQ thru issueing commands while zoning, will increase your chances of running into this bug in the range of 100%.

So...there you have it... now read the disclaimer again...

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Thank you...drive thru and feel informed.

Not that it's important, but I also wanted to confirm that visible weapon thing. Character still appears to be holding his weapons even though they are not there. Rest of the character looks naked.

Exactly right. I am holding the Bow... but I am not holding anything else, like my Sword which was in my Right hand at the time of the Zoning. Again, I can /see/ the Bow being held when I cycle through F9... and ANYone can see it when I ask them to tell me. But it has no ICON in the Secondary inventory slot, and I have NOTHING in my inventory or on my character's body in the way of armor or clothing. I DID have a full set of Gear on, and all inventory slots were being utilized when this occurred. I also had many extra items in the Bank. I was decked out!.. and that is why this loss was really felt.

But again, the Bow is shown being held by my hand, when no Bow actually exists in my inventory.

I had the same experience with MQ. I lost everything. The GM had to do a rollback. Good thing that I was using newUI because they recognize that it is buggy. My experience is if there is any change in your inventory after this happens you are screwed until you can get a hold of an Admin-GM.

Keep posting...or get your lame ass in the game and do what ppl have suggested and report..

One more flame/bitch and this is locked.

Playpal, we are sorry that this happened, really. But we cant control VI or how shitty they do things .. MQ is open source, if you have the skill, look through and prove to yourself that this wasnt intentional...

And imperfect is very close to plaz, and it happened to him.
Listen to him and all will be good.

Magnus you are not being helpfull to solving the bug neither are any of the other people bitching.

Like playpal When I zoned it took about 30 - 45 sec to zone, I have a very good connection to the servers.

I got all my gear back so it isnt a big deal, but I am just informing the developers of the bug.

Some work arounds I can try and think of, if MQ can see the zone lines have it auto end all macros within xx range of the zone line untill you can figure out why this is happening

Woohoo I got flamed. Not really sure why but, I did. My only point is that if you change your inventory then you are screwed. You must petition...

My point is...and the "It's gotta be MQ crowd" completely ignored what I said...

IT'S A KNOWN EXISTING BUG THAT IS NOT RELATED TO MQ.

Rather...it's related to Verant and their coding. Which is why they have done rollbacks on not only ppl using MQ...but ppl who have no clue that MQ even exists.

Keep ignoring that simple little fact and I will go reload the Napalm so the great and mighty RW will have something to do instead of hit <refresh> every 5 seconds...oh wait...that's Liz :p my bad...

So step the frick off MQ and get your facts straight before I set to burning this thread down.
