Next time you're dual boxing, zone somewhere with one char, invis another char and zone them. Watch to see if they appear without the parens around their name for a second..
When you zone, for a brief period of time, you do not have any bufs on. Anyone remember the bug where you would zone with low HP and that would make you die? (Now it just strips your bufs.) The cause of this is zoning with fewer HP than your bufs provide, and in this temporary bufless state, the server believing you were dead.

Assuming you are indeed still alive when the zoning process is nearly complete, your bufs are reapplied.

Well i know some Guides/GMs who are using SEQ simply because they like this Tool. SEQ is very well known, guess why there is a Mob on PoH which only SEQ Users can see and which has the wonderful Name "ShowEQ Users Are Lame". ;)

For the GM Detection thingy: when a GM is using gmhide his information is completely server side filtered from the Datastream to you and since there is absolutely no information send to you in any way at all there is no way at all for you to detect such a hided CS Member. But they don't use it all the time so $gm is still useful and at least better then doing nothing. Same goes for a simple sub which reacts when you get a tell or when your toon is leaving a defined area because a GM is summoning you.

For some reason, GMs like Warriors. Go figure.
For the simple reason that Guides/GM's don't get to use spells, or any of the special abilities of other classes. Under those conditions there's no reason to create anything other than a warrior.

I'd love to find that leaked GM client. Even if half the abilities were crippled due to lack of a GM flag it would be interesting to see it.

Actually ranger is the way to go if you're making a guide character. You can use track, forage, hide, etc.

A Guide doesn't need those. You don't need to track when you can /goto or /summon, and /hideme is much more efficient than sneaking, invis, etc.

Besides all of the above, the client that GMs use will not function without a GM flag on the account itself. As soon as you login with the client, you need to know a username and password of a GM, or it keeps you at the sign-in screen indefinitely.

Secondly, I highly doubt GMs would go to the trouble to check what all characters I'm running by checking my IP check... when the reason I had to petition is because of a well known quest bug.... and when the character running MQ is level 10 parked all the way across the zone no where near either of the two I used to actually kill the mob.
Think again, bub - My main got suspended for 9 days, and several other accounts were flat out banned for using 'hacks' (zoning lvl 1s into time)... I never used my Main, or most of those other accounts for offsets/macroquest/etc... but they banned me - how? well - one of their emails said, and I Quote.
"Your account has been accessed by 9 Different IP addresses, and as many as 16 other accounts have been accessed by those same IP addresses. Those accounts are under investigation, and some have been suspended, or banned. The use of third party software is not, and will not be tolerated. You accept this every time you log into the game."

What was that about they dont ban based on IP?

thanks.

If you are zoning level 1s into Time I guess it makes sense that you should be banned.

Ok, I retract my statement.

Instead, I think I'll change it to: "GM's will not ban based on IP as long as you're not a complete moron who zones level ones into Plane of Time."

Small difference in using MQ to check for a spawn and wake you up and using it to zone a level one into Plane of Time.

You could always ...

I know this isn't much help but you could definitively tell if a gm is on by compiling a list of GM character names and then sending them a tell.

Before the massive flame war starts let me say that I realize this is almost completely useless from a practical point of view ... but if you absolutely positively have to know if gm's or guide's are on your server, this would be one way to tell.

Fact is ... it works.

I did mention that it's practically useless and would only be used in rare circumstances ... nonetheless, it shouldn't be overlooked.

Do you have a more reliable method? If so then I bow to your mastery of the game and would love it if you'd share it with the forum.

If not then shut the fuck up fool.

Yes, if your tell goes through you should definately continue on and run your macro. Brilliant.

And once again, in my original post I said that this would not be useful except when you absolutely had to know whether gm's are on or not.

This will give you a true negative that GM's aren't on ... if you can't see the utility of that then it's none of my concern.

This is obviously not useful on a day to day basis. It's not useful for when you want to go afk for 14 hours and sit in the middle of pok with your masturbate macro on.

Finally, and this is the last time I'm posting in this thread, if you have a more reliable method to detect whether gm's are on THEN POST IT.

If you want to continue flaming me in the hopes that it will improve your macro'ing experience in game or if you're just bored ... beauty, wonderful, I applaud your genius and intellect.

Otherwise, show me how easy it is to detect gm's in game ... obviously it must be a no-brainer if I'm getting flamed for such a ridiculous method, right? You geniuses must have a much better way that is readily obvious to everyone but me.

Freaks.
