And as to the pepole complaining about it being fixed only on XP/2000? Running 98SE picture perfect...
1) Rename macroquest.ini.dist
2) Replace EQLib.dll with NoPerl Version

I shall take both of your comments in order..

1) Whether any donation, is for the Dev’s in recognition for, or a software product itself, I will not pay hard earned cash for anything that does not work. As I understand it, donations are completely voluntary. My point is this, If MQ were functioning fully, using my ‘older’ OS, I would be more inclined to make a donation.
2) My original post (which ‘The Village Idiots" obviously didn’t read and/or understand) referred to MQ not functioning with the NewUI and certain additions (ie /click and Telnet) using an older OS. Put simply for ‘The Village Idiots’ MQ will ONLY function fully if you have XP/2000 and use Plaz’s workaround.
3) I did not toss any comments around, left or right about what I think anyone should or shouldn’t do. However, I did notice your literacy is lacking, Ooka, perhaps that could explain why you thought you read these ‘so called’ comments.
4) I write my own scripts, with the exception of using MQ for the first time.
5) I never said MQ wasn’t working for me, I repeat again… MQ will only function fully if you use XP/2000 and Plaz’s workaround.
6) Crass? Me? I merely asked for an ETA for a NewUI enabled MQ.

Oh, and Riz, ban away, I’m sure there are many people reading this board using this particular high anon proxy…

Necro, everquest it's self ceased to support windows 95 seveal expansions ago, microsoft direct x, nvidia and a range of other drivers/providers are starting to lean towards NT based OS. Microsoft said after ME they are not going to produce new versions of the old DOS OS anymore.

Face it 98,ME are on the way out, you can't expect the same priority for them as the current NT based systems. You can't expect people (especialy who code for pleasure) to make non-biast code that will be fully backwardly compatible. There seems to be a fix out for the older OS use that.

If you would like a feature to be included it would make more sense to send a polite PM to the developer and maybe donate to show how much you want it.

Throwing your toys out the pram just gets backs up all round!

Do you like being offensive? Most people will stop to help you with most things in life if you are simply courteous, in your case I'd prefer to see you sod off, stop whining and if you're so up-your-own-arse about this little utility go away and write your own.

You appear to think it big and clever that you can't be traced. Personally I doubt Rizwank even bothered, I certainly wouldn't as it means spending small amounts of my life dealing with someone so obviously lame as yourself and staring at a wall would be a more productive use of my time than having anything to do with you.
