I've seen first hand what GM's can do, they can log in as your player and you won't know about it and you wouldn't show as a GM in the zone when he did.
Remember they wrote the code and they control everything, so yes they can come in as a mob and you wouldnt know it unless they wanted you to.
Then they can just watch without out being in zone but monitor the zone. They have a very cool setup behind the scenes.

Sorry if this conspiracy has been addressed, but:
1. How does a douchebag like the PoK guy know how to get a throw-away account character to zone into PoK? Was it an eqloft.com account? The blatant full-view combine macro tells me coding skills were at a minimum and reading the manual wasn't on his list of things to do anytime soon. Where did this moron learn to zoneshift?
2. Who in hell warps exactly inside the forge and thinks "Ok that works, next..".
3. PoK must be the last place (even for idiots) you would unattend macro for 16+ hours.
==> What if the after the plugins got into the hands of too many non-level people, someone who knows what they were doing just chose PoK as the most bustable place and ran a blatant script to get the thing patched. This would be in line with Sony's motivation for fixing the game: If the masses cry foul, Sony must do something. In this case, the masses are in PoK.
==> This makes the patch for that combine, or more seriously, the warp offsets that everybody and their mother has now, obsolete more quickly. Only those with the skill to find the warp offsets will have them and the script kiddies will be holding their d*cks.

MQ is not for cheaters, it's for those who find the games lack of ability to add features that users want
technicly .. were considerd cheaters ... why i put it in quotes.
dunce .. they put delay on drops too .. just make your scripts act at humanly speed.
eqmule00 .. smart scripts rule =P ...

Is POK level restricted? I run my level 1 mules through POK all the time.

No.
But we're all assuming that he was using an eqloft.com account.. which is only the "classic" zones.
No planar zones, including PoK.. I *think*

I'm not a cheater I'm someone who could use Google, hehe.
Those folks are pissed cause they can't comprehend the Google search engine. I have played other online games and stopped because folks was going into GOD mode kill you and you couldn't hurt them. Now that's cheating and effecting the users game expirence. I still see the plat making helps the econmy becuase these Uber Guilds sell everything at high prices, so you have no chance in getting that item and then there is Sony themelves selling a Horse for 120kpp where can you get that kinda money for a horse? They drove folks in to raising the prices and plat making schemes, so blame them as well.
Most these plat making folks are selling the plat in game for real US $$$$, so these guys getting caught are screwing those guys out of making real money.
what GM's really know

I've been in zones where MQ sees a gm, that ordinary /who or even ranger track don't see. I've watched GM play their little games moving around. Hell, I even argued with one that popped into the Plane of Hate to cheat, (he was seeing if Inny was up), and I told him he was, and the guide said he wasn't. I led the guide to Inny to prove my point. Now in my case, I'm able to track, so it wouldn't seem funny that I could tell him this. My point in all this is basically, don't do anything ridiculous and you have nothing to worry about. If you are doing unattended tradeskills, obviously the PoK isn't the place to do it, as it's the most travelled zone in the game, but wherever you do it, you can easily make your macro check who's surrounding you and back off of whatever the realtime user is trying to do. I know the hunter.mac has KS feature built into it, so perhaps you should look there to see how it's done. Personally, I do nothing unattended. At the very most, I sit here monitoring my macro casually, while watching a movie on tv.
Well, now that I bounced around so much in my topic, basically all I am saying is that if you don't exhibit abnormal behavior, nobody will become suspicious of you and you have nothing to worry about. The GM's can't see what's on your end, all they see is what you are doing.

Who gives a flying f*ck about a 125Kpp horse? There are horses that are dropped that are faster than it. You want a horse? Go level up and SK or Paladin and get your holy/unholy steed. The reason why Sony made that horse so expensive was to *gasp* remove plat from the game.
Think about it. We have thousands of mobs all being killed and dropping plat/vendor crap. Now if all the pp is trading hands between players, none of the plat is being removed from the game, therefore driving up prices since everyone has more money. Sony did a good thing by making those horses so expensive and appealing to the masses. Go buy a horse and help the economy.

I raised all my prices. Now charging 15p for heady kiolas ... and loving the fact that they sell for that much. Other items are overly priced as well ... and selling. The reason? Cuz I need 125k to get me a horse. After I get my horse, I will lower my prices back down to "reasonable" levels and will spend far less time in the bazaar.
If the prices for tradeskill components went up, doesn't it make sense that the items made from those components ... and other items in general ... have gone up in price also? All because of SoE's over-priced horses?

Just because the tradeskill components went up does not mean that the finished items will go up. People buy tradeskill components not only ot get the finished product, but to get skill ups as well. So if someone is lazy and buying Heady Kiolas for 15p a piece, then they probably just want to raise tailoring and can afford it.
There is too much plat in EQ, with the recent sightings of the PoK morons (which wasn't the first time this had been done) and people like Yantis, SOE has to find more and more ways to remove plat from the system. See the patch message today? Casino's went live (at least on SH they did). Basically you buy "tokens" for 130p and get chances to win prizes or more tokens. Mostly you get gay stat food that is no drop and a majority of the items are no drop as well.
I don't know who posted this idea, saying that those "morons" in PoK were probably doing it to get SOE to notice and fix it and I agree entirely. While it was a good effort (they suceeded), it brought too much attention to third party software programs, but I know it will die down after a while (praying sooner than later).

I can't believe someone is actually trying to argue that MQ is cheating. Talk about self delusion.

Ok forgive me, 100p. I hadn't actually logged on and tried since they patched.

Has anyone noticed recently since last patch that mobs will now just vanish while being attacked?
Thought this was a problem in only one zone but now find that it is happening in a lot of them.
While running a farming macro a target vanished and my toon went running all the way to the other end of the zone and just stood there. Clearing target the macro would then just get the same target and still stand there. Although target was up there was nothing for me to attack.
A random amount of this goin on and anyone just running a macro unattended will soon be discouraged finding himself just standin in the middle of nowhere with no loot to boot.
Why this post in this thread? Think about it... It is where it belongs
