This feature is nothing short of awesome man. EQgame.exe used to always be pegged at 99% in task manager, now around 40%.

I think people who don't want to feel like they're cheating are more likely to use it then, and that's what I'm aiming for. I'll probably have the source as a separate zip in future releases.
I think including the source will be beneficial. Mainly because I've seen a few people (elsewhere) asking if it's safe, a password stealer, trojan, etc..

Not sure if this is related or not, but a friend playing a monk out-ran my pally like he was wearing Jboots (no buffs on either). I've seen that slower computers make your toons run slower ... does this do the same?

If your friend outran him like nobodies business, he either was buffed or speed hacking. This is not the same. This just cuts down on the amount of CPU useage by EQ.

You won't find any public hacks on these boards, we don't allow them. You need to go elsewhere to find actual hacks for EQ.

Good thing too - not looking for speed hacks. I don't think my friend was using them either - he won't even use a copy of compiled MQ cuz he see's it as "cheating" - even if he never runs a macro.

He DID outrun me though - by about 6 seconds across shadeweavers thicket. My system is easily 4x faster than his and in the past, I was the one waiting at zone for him to catch up. Ever since compiling the latest update to EQ (and learning about this feature) I seem to be running just a tad slower.

I haven't done any web surfing or installed anything new since before the previous version (Oct 10th I think) - just compiled the Nov 5 version of MQ. Thought I'd ask here in case someone experienced the same problem and had a solution.

I run same speed as always. If you have clipping plane up you run slower. Turn it all the way down you run fast.

It is also possible that the monk got hit with the ever popular (and random) speed bug. Something gets goofed in EQ and it behaves as though you are speed hacked.

if you want to see if it is MQ, race him again. Once with MQ running and once w/o it.

Not sure if related, but since the patch, and having to update to latest version, my laptop DOES run slower, as if it is lagging badly. As soon as I /unload everything seems to return to normal, ie non lagged. Now my main computer, which is much faster, seems fine. But again, as soon as I /unload on my laptop everything is fine.

When I say run slower, I mean in a walking/running sense. If I autofollow, i will quickly be left behind, out of range.

Any command to pause/disable the cpu cycle code in full mq, to see if that could be my problem?

/maxfps

Ive tried /maxfps fg 1 to 200, and all in between, obviously at 1 it sucks, yet at 200, it is still not as responsive as after an /unload.

Downloaded and ran just this (EQCPU) without MQ. Same responsiveness.

Went back to MQ Oct13 with latest offsets, ran well(did not run any macros, as other things have changed since then)

I dont know if im being affected by this mainly because I have Cheesy Shared video on my laptop, but before this I was always running 2 bots via EQWindows with the foreground char running great, and BG char lagged but liveable. Now with only one char running there is a noticeable lag.

Im not complaining or bitching, simply relaying what im experiencing.

If this is related to my cheesy video settings, is there any way I can bypass the CPU changes in MQ just for my setup? IE, is this hardcoded into MQ now, or can I comment stuff out?

You can comment it out in the Pulse() function.

What speed computer, what version of windows?

XP, Compaq Presario 2100 AMD 2200 ATI Mobility Radeon Shared 64MB Graphics(giving me 448 memory left over)

Ive triple checked everything as I dont want to give bad info. Reverified what ive posted earlier.

I downloaded this :

and runs well.(Have not tried macros with this yet though)
