need help

Post by War1980 » Sat Nov 15, 2003 5:47 pm

1) You have the code for three files, yet only give two names, tradeskill.mac and recipes.ini. I have the first set of code, which starts with
#turbo
#include tradeskills.inc
#define INIPATH "recipes.ini"
named as tradeskill.mac, and the last file name recipes.ini.
Please clarify this.

2) With the things the way they are, when i attempt to load the script, i get the following error:
Ending macro: couldn't open include file tradeskills.inc
Cleared the following: Timer Vars Arrays
Ending macro.

Here is where a lot are probably confused.

He says,

Code for Tradeskills.inc

But in the code he has

| TradeSkill.inc

typed... You need to save it as TradeskillS.inc because in the macro it calls for TradeSkills.inc

nope

when it errors for that it gives the path and file name. I did it but figured out on the first error. The container type is messing up on the mortar and pestle for celestial essences, 2 component combine, no fail, keep product, etc...

Code: Select all

[celestial]
Cont=#mort
Comp1="Celestial Solvent"
Comp2="The Scent of Marr"
have tried Mortar and pestle, mortar and pestle, mortar, Mortar, "Mortar and Pestle", "mortar and pestle", #mortar, #pestle, #Mort, Poison Making (because the container had that in it's item info) and I cannot get it to work.

no love

Post by Obolisk » Tue Nov 18, 2003 1:39 pm

tried caps, nocaps, allcaps...the snippit I posted was with the exact capitalization as in game. Also tried all those combos in and out of quotes, no love for me. Can someone post a known good end-all version of the script including the mods and I will try that? Mortar is in bottom right inventoy slot, no bags touch, default UI, everything opened, positioned, closed and reopened before running script. Starting to feel like I am overlooking something obvious and deserve a duncecap here.

Thanks for the help.

mixing bowl

Post by War1980 » Tue Nov 18, 2003 3:12 pm

ok i am trying to use the macro for baking, but the recipe i was using is NOT in the recipes.ini. No problem there, i added in the recipe, cept when i try and run the recipe, it says container not found.

I am using a mixing bowl and have tried both Cont=Mixing Bowl and Cont=#mixing.

What is the proper name for "Mixing Bowl" in this macro?

Am also getting the error
[Macroquest] recipe Name = uncookedratearpie
[Macroquest]Unknown option combine.
Couldn't find 'NOTFOUND'.
Couldn't find container <<NOTFOUND>>
Cleared the following: Timers Ars Arrays

[uncookedratearpie]
Cont=#Mixing
Comp0=rat ears
Comp1=rat ears
Comp2=baking spirits
Comp3=cup of flour

Have moved on though, used a basic combine macro for that one and the subsequent recipes of grilled cheese sandwich and patty melt.

Now im looking for a recipe of purely storebought ingredients that trivials at 150+ for smithing, flething, jewelcrafting, and tailoring. The only things ive found so far are smithing recipes that require tailored items, which means unless im a tailor, i cant be a smith. However, looking at the recipes for the tailored items, they are not something i could realistically use this macro for anyways. Havent really looked at jewelcrafting yet. Tailoring, smithing, and fletching that i have seen have all required farmed items that are not frequently sold in bazaar.

If you used this to speed skill up in anything but baking, would be great if you posted a list of the recipes you used.

Flame me for what I do, not what you think I do. I do not think people here work for me, I asked if anyone had a working version that they had put the cumulative mods into to post it. Not for someone to go out an make it for me. I said in the post you quoted that I was on default UI, so inherently not the nameless UI poster. Since as you indicate it works for you on all 5 systems, perhaps you could say what recipie it was with or if you modified anything. I am investing some time, as I listed all the various combinations of data used in the recipie file and I am experimenting and trying to find the error. Nice jab about the "Find something you enjoy and do that instead" perhaps you need to take a break from the boards and recover some civility. I know it can get annoying when people come in with stupid errors and haven't read all the background stuff for questions you answered 1,000 times before. I myself work in support and really do understand, but that's no excuse for being rude. Personally I will register when I am at a point that the board is something I will frequent with regularity. 3 posts is a bit early for that IMO. Such kindness as you have shown will not lead to me returning, providing the scripts I have developed or assisting you with questions once established. Thanks, enjoy.

So, you're too stupid to debug this macro?

Write your own.
