Hey Lax. You're missing ConvertCSV.h in your code listing. Just goes to show how many people actually tried this...

The .h is empty anyway, I'll edit it out of the post.
Making progress on the program to map new exe's also. Just need to fill in some holes.

program hangs for me at "CHotButtonWnd__Draw" after the first L in stdcall. I had to change the AppendString line to Out+=(c); but that should not be causing this problem. Im in vc6

CString dealing with appending chars changed between 6.0 and .NET. Where in 6.0 you can do CString+=char and it will append the char, it is considered ambiguous in .NET, requiring AppendChar instead.
Either way, I've got hidden aces and will probably have something to show in a day or two. I think I'll flop another ace and end up catching another on the river. Don't worry about it if you can't get the solution already posted to work

would it be possible to simply get a copy of the script file. Id rather not go get vc.net simply for this one program, though i do like it :)

Ok, I'm at a point where a majority of the functions and offsets are mapped correctly in the new files. A few here and there will be wrong but shouldn't be many at all. If anyone comes across some of those, let me know and I'll refine the algorithm. I'll probably send the output to EQMule tomorrow.

You do plan on showing us the walkthrough on how to do this for ourselves in the future? Or, do you think it's going to be so obvious as to be unecessary?
I have an idea of what you're doing, but not EXACTLY positive as yet

But, if it's what I think, it's very very exciting.

Well, it won't be so obvious and I don't know how soon I'd release the source but I'll probably just upload a new text file of offset updates for new eqgame patches if nobody trusts the program's .exe (not that disassembling should be a problem around here 8) ). Time will tell.

Producing an .IDC file which renames all successfully matched offsets for the 9-9-2003 eqgame.exe. As mentioned, some here and there are incorrect but I'm pretty sure 99.8% are accurate. The usage of the .IDC file will simply involve downloading it, opening the newest eqgame.exe in IDA, and running the .IDC file. No extra files needed, no downloading the spreadsheet or compiling the program shown earlier
I'll post a URL on a new thread once I get it hosted.
