Since it uses a license server, you'd have to make a server app to validate the key when it runs. Should be rather trivial to edit your hosts file, have it connect locally and give it a valid response(makes it so you dont have to worry about upgrades too).

or we can find the code that does reg validation and yank it out. or put in some code that just returns the "ok" flag regardless of what it gets from the reg server.
dont crack it...

just pay the 20 bucks... you yank out more to verant every month, and this is a good program one of the few I consider worth paying for, note that I am capable of cracking it, and have done that for the heck of it, but I support Ben (the author) for his fight against verant, I bought 3 licenses btw, he was damn close to being sued blind when they went after him... think he got off by making it more generic towards all directX games... Anyway, buy it, best money youll ever spend, I thank xylobot for leveling two chars to 60 in a few weeks of unatended botting, while I was sleeping or at work...

I would say the same thing if when you bought the software, you could use the software as you like. But I am not paying over 100 bucks just so I can use xylo on all my accounts at once. It's not a fair registration scheme, so I won't support it...

Well hell, looks like Xylo was a waste of 20 bucks for me, since you can't use it to control anything in the background, you can only use botting if you either have multiple computers, or only run one character. It looks like it's a decent program other then that, but if MQ goes away then all those that used it to control secondary accounts on a single computer are pretty well screwed.

I also paid for Xylobot. The problem with his license server is that if you disconnect and get a new IP address on reconnect, you must wait for your old license lease to expire. That takes about 10 mins. So if your ISP drops your dial connection often, you are in for some waiting. If I were to fire up Softice, I am betting that one might find a conditional jump based on the value of a register that could be changed to a non conditional jump .. but dont quote me. :)
I am more than interested in a way to do a callout from an Xylobot scipt that snages from EQ memory the location of whatever you have targeted and have that appended to the EQ log.
Still waiting on my copy of .NET. When I get .NET installed I am going to learn all I can from MQ .... There is a lot to learn from this open source project. Whatever happens to MQ, what was done here was good work.
