Hmmmm, Cha-Ching, how did you set up your new account? Don't tell me you use your existing installation and simply created a new account?
You do realize your existing installation contains your original serial numbers which can link back all the accounts you have ever played on.

That doesn't matter. Verant cannot/will not ban two accounts for the transgressions of one account. Who is to say that 3 members of one family all play on the same PC? Your kid brother's cheating does not, in any way, reflect upon you as a player.

I won a free copy of EQ trilogy at a local software store, I just signed that up with my GF's credit card ---- so it's a totally new account.

Well, after testing for 1 day straight, running 24hrs non-stop, not one problem.... a few tells from random ppl, some ppl casting buffs on me.. other than that.... I had about 55K gp on me... .LOL, so I had to log my main and give him some of the gp....

So I dont think they are actively monitoring the merchants -- BTW this was with the bear meat macro.

I feel confident that there wont be any problems, Im assuming that the friend that got banned must have been doing something suspecious.

Still --- I would be cautious when running these macro's -- they do violate the EULA.

One more thing I found out, at least on my server (which shall remain nameless, no pun intended), some of the bored-have-nothing-better-to-do uber level 60s are actively petitioning guides and GMs whenever they see people making cheese in shadow haven. I guess they have to act when they receive a petition.

Salutations,
There are people who just actively make cheese since they know they can make money off it, without using macros... ie a friend of mine.
