No results at all with these offsets. No error messages, but also no "MQ is active" message, and macros don't work. Any ideas?

the EQ patcher. almost everyone i know at one point or another has forgotten to use the EQ patcher when they use EQwindows. the result is that it will kick you at the character select screen. so maybe thats it, if not, then sorry =P

Ah. Nope, that's not it. Wasn't using EQ Windows. I mostly use MQ to twist bard songs, and don't use the old UI for that (no need). However, I think I'll give that a try and see if it makes a difference.

Don't suppose someone could throw together a tutorial on finding offsets? Would make it easier to solve these problems.

incorrect client version

I had the same problem until I realized that I was supposed to copy the info into the eqgame.ini file rather than the macroquest.ini file. I must've been retarded at first but when I copied the offsets into the proper file, it started working.

Nope, that's not it. I put the new offsets in the correct ini file. Double checked.

So... with New UI I simply get no function whatsoever. No error messages, but no MQ either.

With Old UI, I get a message about incorrect client version, even with override enabled.

Knowing about the date problem with WinXP, I tried adjusting the dates in the ini file (both adding and subtracting an hour), but still won't work or gives me incorrect client version. Currently my ini date matches the date of the eqgame.exe file.

I have also tried stripping trailing spaces, and don't see any leading spaces to remove.

Not sure what the problem is, since MQ is working for most of you. Have never had any problems before with updating either the program or the offsets, just this time I can't find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Fixed the problem and got MQ to work.

First, deinstalled and reinstalled Perl.

Second, downloaded clean copy of MQ and replaced old version.

Third, used offsets from here, except I changed the Items to the suggested value.

Everything works. Obviously the problem is operator error someplace, but for the life of me can't figure out what I messed up.

Looks like the offsets still aren't quite right, using 20021201 and the posted offsets, combine.mac won't work. It opens the container, then just sits there (looks like it skips the pick up and drop parts and goes straight to combine button pushing, as I get a message about having to put items in the combiner first).
