Alrighty folks, I guess I'm ready to be Flamed...lol. First off..NO..I am not a brilliant tech, so please forgive me if this is all boringly mundane to you. After seaching, reading, debating, RE-reading and more searching I've come to the conclusion that COMPILING MQ2 is not your average cup of tea per say. I have tried numerous times working through the obvious mistakes as I went along, but now I am perplexed. According to the program I have finally managed to compile the MQ2 with success using the directions from the Wiki. (FYI - using the Visual C++ 2005 Express version) But, I am only seeing one .dll file, the MQ2main.dll. According to what I have read* though there should be many, many more then that. I just finished reading this thread and about kicked myself for the obvious..."If you compiled that file...???" Doh!!!=\ Why didnt I think of that??? But, by paying strict attention and going exactly by what the Wiki says all I had to compile was the MQ2main file. I am going to assume though that I will need to compile all files...and hopefully get it to work. I was experiencing the same problems as mentioned above about there not being a mq2chatwnd in game. (Before you flame to hard..Yes, I tried using the in-game load and unload commands. When i unloaded it went straight to the normal chat box...which I really am trying to avoid for obvious reasons, but it would not load with /plugin mq2chatwnd.) Anyways..thats the extent of my ***Noob Beotching, Complaining, and Question Asking*** for the time being

. Hopefully compiling all files will fix the problems. Also, FYI...Tried to donate today from the download website, but the links for individuals as well as general donation were not working. Sorry.
* One link I found directed me to a page that was a walk through for compiling and using MQ2-->
http://www.macroquest2.com/includes/wassup/manual.php <-- The author suggested the following:
After compiling Macroquest2:
Create a new folder anywhere, such as c:\MQ2
Create four new folders within this folder, named configs, ini, logs, and macros
Copy the Macroquest2.exe, the compiled dll's, the ini files, and the .txt files from the Release folder to c:\MQ2:
Is this merely for back up purposes or is the file suppose to be linked tothe program??? They did not elaborate on what to do with this file after making it.
Thanks in advance for you help.
