I can totally see your point there Java. I did make some chash out of macroing and used it to twink my main. not lots of cash but still it was ill gotten gains. I now feel it has cheapened that character and I find myself playing my other non twinked toons more and more.

There is one group of macroers you didnt take into account though. That is people like me that are now getting as much, if not more, enjoyment out of writeing scripts to automate EQ than to actually play it itself.

Once SWG and EQ2 comes along I dont thing ill play EQ anymore it gotten spoiled by verant making it too easy to level and more and more stupid players are getting into raids that would never have been there before beacause of it.

Until then if I can eventually develop a script (or set of) that would be sufficiently intelligent to level a character up to 50 then I would be most happy.

The game has lost its interest for me now. Beating the game at its own game as it were is far more of a challenge.

look i this guy is nice and stuff..and im not going to flame but if he wants to make such macros as for PP and exp macros i say let him. VI will eventually nerf it to where u cant use it anymore, ever as is.. the point is let the macros make everquest the best it can be. let him try to get some awesome macros like that..and just help the guy..peoples have lives and cant sit at the comp for 8 hours maxing skills and everything this would make my life a lot easier

The more posts people make to this thread the more perspective I get. Someone a lot earlier noticed that I merely said i was "intrigued" by the pp macros and that I wasnt trying to bring the community down. At least someone can see what I meant.

Looking back, I suppose I didnt really think that VI would be looking at this board and targeting it. I'll admit that I wasnt too bright in posting that out in the open. But the knee-jerk response could have been more tempered...instead of flame central. It takes time to get the lay of the land and the 300 posts I sifted through before I posted myself were mostly problem-solving...so I little idea the response I would get.

Irregardless, should anyone want to send me private messages concerning the macros I am interested in ..or any othe subject, feel free to do so.
