beastlord tank/agro

Post by skyler » Mon May 23, 2005 10:47 am

Edited for your approval thanks to Wassup:

If there is already a BL macro out there that covers all of this then I am sorry and would request to be pointed to said macro as I did not find it looking at all the other ones.

What I'm looking for is a BL macro designed with tanking in mind, one that doesn't have to have a hunter aspect in it.

This is what I am looking for:

Debuffing:
1. Cast slow, and then recast it later if the slow was resisted.
2. Casting slow on adds would be nice.
3. An option for which slow you want to cast based your level and/or whatever slow you might have.
4. Would like it to cast Incapacitate also, or a set up with a list of debuffs to cast.

Player Buffs/Click items:
1. Watch Buffs on myself and group members, casting single target buffs on each person in the group based on their class.
2. Options for clicky items would be nice.

AA/Discs:
1. DPS discs/aa could be an option to add but not that important.
2. Kick whenever possible.
3. I would like the option of the defensive disc being activated when my hp % is below a set amount.

Pet:
1. Pet hold when you aren't fighting or when a fight is over.
2. Pet attack when the mob is below a certain %.
3. Watch pet buffs and recasting as needed.

You're actually bitching because there are too many options?

Jesus H. Christ on a stick.

Try them all, stick with the one you want. I'm using guest_01's beastlord macro, and I'm pretty happy with it after some changes in logic.

No, was commenting how each one was good in its own way but each lacked what the others had. If you took the time to read you'd have notice that I was listing options that I'd like to see/use and if they were included in one of the many macros. But thanks for trying.

Well, considering the excellent grammar and structure of your original post, its amazing I would have missed your point.

Macros are here free, if you don't like it, don't bitch about what people have posted. You have search, you can check the macros out yourself. If one is missing something, add it in.

For an assist beastlord macro, guest_01's macro is pretty much the best one I've seen. You can even script it to be your puller with a little work.

Grammar flame, cute and yes, they are free but who is bitching about anything besides you? That’s where I got lost. Anyways, I do have search and I have looked at the other macs and I'm getting the clear impression that obviously this idea for a BL mac has not been covered and yes, thank you Night Hawk, I will have to create one myself or post the idea in the request section of the forums(imagine that cause I think that's what I did.) So yes, I will be creating my own and thank you for your criticism, as helpful as it wasn't.

I didn't even read your first post here.

When I see a mass of text all mashed together, I just skip it, because 99.999999999 percent of the time it's a worthless post.

I think most people read the topic of this post, skipped the actual message, and automatically assume the creator was flaming macros. It's just a suggestion. Albeit, a poorly formed suggestion, but not really something to waste your pure and precious well bottled flame hatred on.

Come on, we can all do better here.

Wassup: I'll do what I can to make sure my posts are more aesthetically pleasing in the future.

hairpin: Now that I look at it, yes, the thread subject wasn't the best but give people credit. I haven't been here long but I know a lot of people here don't need much to start their own little flame war and vent their hate.

Back on topic then, I've been looking at the warrior macro altered from the RH and it's more or less the biggest part of what I was looking for. Going to try to take that and add to it to handle the differences of the class. Spell buffs/debuffs can all be added from other things already created. Who knows, maybe something useful will come from all this hate after all.

Aesthetics have nothing to do with it, it's called making your text readable.

I was typing in english, is that not what you would like? I could always find a spanish translator. Besides, you said you didn't even bother to read it so why bother posting? Anyways, I'm not about to get dragged into your would-be flame war. You win!

If you know how to use a dictionary, I would think you would know how to make a post that wasn't such a mess.

That crap you posted in the first thread is a mess, and if you don't realize that, you have no reason to be trying to quote from a dictionary.

Go the fuck away with your stupid assed bullshit.

*EDIT*

Better yet, I took 5 minutes and condensed your crap down to something readable. Here you go:

-----------------

If there is already a BL macro out there that covers all of this then I am sorry and would request to be pointed to said macro as I did not find it looking at all the other ones.

Player Buffs/Click items:

Amazing what a difference that makes isn't it?

We should just start banning faggots like this who come to our boards, make retarded ass posts, then argue how everyone else is wrong.

You want a fucking macro kid, write it your god damn self. After your stupid ass posts I don't see anyone writing one for you.

If you can't understand the simple concept of spacing out your babble so that people can actually read it without getting a headache, maybe you shouldn't be posting in the first place. Surely not trying to quote shit from a dictionary like you have half a brain. If you did, you'd hit the fucking enter key once in a while.
