Compiling and Bards

Post by killyaje » Wed Jul 03, 2002 11:56 am

Hey folks.
Was having fun playing with MQ and since I also have a bard I figured it would be great for twisting songs and other stuff.

Unfortunately, there are no spell events that fire off for Bard Songs (except Resist) so I figured I'd modify the code and make it so that the "missed a note" would fire off a Fizzle event, and then maybe later add in the Interuppted event for bards (which would be hard since there isn't any unique message associated with it).

Alls well and good, find the spot in EQLib.cpp to make the changes, already had .NET studio installed so I'm ready to compile and..

Error: File detours.h couldn't be found.

So, can anyone point me to that file?

Plasmic: Great software man, if you want to add in what I did with bards, at line 120 in EQLib.cpp, add in
} else if (!strcmp(szMsg, "You miss a note, bringing your song to a close!")) {
AddEvent (EVENT_CASTFIZZLE);

Let me know if you can get me the detours file, or just add it into your code for me.

Thanks,
Killyaje

Salutations,
Custom events are put in for 20020704 so you should have song events then...

#event MissedNote "You miss a note, bringing your song to a close!"
...
Sub Event_MissedNote
