No Future Updates to MQ2!!!!!!!

Post by Bardlover » Sat May 14, 2005 11:54 am

Scary thought isn't it.... Isn't it about time to redonate some more Pp to the Devs? This is not a single effort software package, every time there is a patch the devs have to fix it, not only do they fix it, they also provide upgrades. If you find this as invaluable as I do ( I hardly can play my bard with out because I 2 box) then chip in again for all their efforts.

I do a Bard / Druid combo, 70 bard with about 300 AA and 66 druid with about 130 AA. Start the bard kiting with mob then auto circle, then I can ignore that char, without MQ2 I have to pull, circle, keep using the /melody command every time I miss a note, and then try to find time with druid to nuke / snare / heal while still circling and staying in range of druid.

If you aren't in a lvl playing area, this gets tricky. Not that I can't / won't do it, but compared with the wonderful ease of use with MQ2, I just spend my time after patches lvling other chars instead of farming with bard and druid.

Not only that, but questing gets 10 times easier with the MQ2 map, just admit it, we love it and would hate to live without it

I am brand new to the MQ2 world. So new, as a matter of fact, that I can't even try it out since I decided to give it a whirl on a patch day. However, I can already see that this program can be very useful and I can't wait to try it on my own.

I'm always willing to pay for software that is useful to me, but I have one question. Is there a minimum donation that has to be made, or can I donate $20 and call it good?
I'm almost out of breath from saying the things that I'll regret.

In this forum, there is a sticky above that explains what good donations are and what they go towards and how to do it.

Not Can't... Just won't. I have 16 chars. too easy to work on something else. as for Rooting, if I do that, root breaks almost every time I nuke with druid, so then I have to Circle, root, stop cirlce, nuke, run away with bard, root, nuke, run away, O wait, I got hit on bard, not enough to hurt, but /melody stopped maybe I realize it now, maybe I get a couple more nukes off on druid before I realize O crap, now druid has agro, Ok, root, no more nukes, dot with bard till I regain agro..... rinse repeat.

And as for donation amounts, I think I did $20 first time, $10 next for updates, it isn't a ton, but if more people see it how I do and the thousands donate, could be nice surprise for Devs this weekend.

I am a new MQ2 user as well, but only got to play with it for a few days before the patch. I've still been playing the bard afterwards, but even after a few days with MQ I miss autocircle and twist, will definetly be donating once I have some spare money this summer.

lol, DoT with the druid instead of nuking oh brilliant one :P

1: pull
2: root
3: DoT, while druid is casting, start DoT melody on bard
4: keep DoTing and just sit there... re-root every so often...

or use the mq2fps plugin so your windows in the background wont lag at all when boxing (if you're doing it on the same computer)

usually when i do this, i dont even have to move, just hit my hotkey for melody if it misses a note, and hit druid hotkey to DoT the mob...

Isn't it funny how the most mundane of posts turns into an argument in environs such as these? I do love the Internet... It is the last true World's Fair. People of all races, creeds, colors and levels of intelligence come together to.... bitch about 2-boxing without MQ.

It's like the old saying goes... Arguing on the Internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win... you're still retarded.

i just dont see how some people have to rely so much on something else to do things for them ROFL, its sad really. You honestly won't play your bard because MQ isn't working? Thats pretty sad...

shrug I have played EQ for nearly 5 years without MQ help just rescently found the program and must say I love it actualy makes exp a little less mind consuming I actualy get RL stuff done while I play EQ. It is amazing how much more efficient my chars are also I still play through updates but I still use the commands liek I was using MQ every now and then and wonder why my char is standing there blankly.

i still play EQ w/o MQ2, but noway i play my bard. There is no other class that benefit from MQ2 like bards does.
