request: travel macros

Post by dont_know_at_all » Mon Dec 09, 2002 10:30 pm

One of my least favorite aspects of EQ is the boats. You are forced to sit on the boat and wait until it docks. You have to pay attention or the boat will leave without you. Once, I had guild mate fall asleep on the keyboard and I watched helplessly as he sailed away on the boat after he'd asked me to escort and bind him on the Freeport dock.

What I would do if I had more free time is write a macro which got me on the right boat, waited till I was at the right dock, and got me off the boat.

There would have to be certain assumptions: you'd have to already be on the departing dock, you'd have to be safe on the arriving dock. (D'oh, my halfing disembarked on the dock Overthere.)

Anyone ever done anything like this?

Thanks.
